Summary:

Angel couldn’t help but be a little excited when Val took him to the Lucky Bastard, one of the largest casinos of Pentagram city. He never met or saw the Casino Overlord before, or as most sinners called him The King of Cards. He was known to be a very private person according to Vox and he only cared for booze and bets according to Val.

So when he accidentally walked into one of the private rooms of the Casino and met the sweetest, grumpiest bartender, he had no idea just who he was flirting with.

((Hi! I'm super duper new in the fandom! English isn't my first language and I haven't written anything in like 10 years, just a heads up. I can't really write angst so this is just a fluffy slowburn of huskerdust becoming the crime couple they deserve to be.))

“I wish I wasn’t this tired.” Angel murmured against the other’s neck.  “This isn’t how I imagined our first time in the same bed would go.”

Husk made a sound that was halfway between a scoff and a laugh.

“Are you complainin’ about my cuddling?”

“No!” Angel gasped and nuzzled his face into the fur under Husk’s jaw. “Your cuddling is 10 out of 10 Husky. A plus plus!”

Husk hummed and continued the soothing motions with his hand.

“I just wish there were some genitals involved, while we cuddle, ya’ know,” Angel pouted.

“How romantic,” the overlord chuckled. “You sure have a way with words, bug.”

About the future of Lucky Bastard

Hi! As some of you may have noticed I disappeared for a while. I just wanted to give you a little update.

Yes, I still intend to finish my fanfiction “Lucky Bastard” (it’s on my “2025 goals” list lol) but I haven’t been doing too great mentally lately and being on social media hasn’t helped that.

Lucky Bastard was always a labor of love, a passion project and it’s still very important to me but as I came to find out I can’t write about silly fluffy love stories when I myself am so down. 

I decided not to push myself to continue writing right now because I know I wouldn’t like the result in the end. 

It helps that I left the story off on a “good spot”, they are happy, safe and in love tralala so I don’t feel as bad.

But just know that I will finish it someday. Hopefully sooner than later.

I wrote an Arcane fanfic where Jayce and Viktor wake up after the last episode and they are fine, happy and in love. That's it. That's the fic. (totally canon, trust me. this is how the show ended)

on estimate when do you think the next chapter is? no rush, everyone gets busy or overwhelmed and you’re allowed to feel that way

That's a totally fair question but I can't give you an answer to that unfortunately. I was hoping I'd finish it by the end of this month but there is no way I'll be able to do that.

Just to give you an idea there will be 3 fight scenes in the chapter, I only wrote one so far. (It's already 5k words to be fair.)

I'm very slow at writing even tho I spend so much time on this fic. And it's frustrating but I have to remind myself that I have never been a writer so this is new to me.

Other than that, I have 2 jobs and I'm taking care of my mother right now and I have a lot of friends so a lot of social events (I love them but it is draining).

I know you didn't want an explanation and a peak into my life but I couldn't help myself xd The support that this fanfic is getting is definitely motivating to keep going and write it even if I doubt myself.
