for context, there's a trend on tiktok of couples lifting the other over their shoulder along to a sabrina carpenter song that goes "a boy who's jacked and kind". obviously the lesbians win the trend, but it was so cute!

honestly, i have no idea what possessed me, but i got haunted by this visual and finished it in a span of three hours.

also used it to try a few new brushes and really liked the result.

inspired by my latest favorite tragedy (nicholas scratch, the boy who lived on borrowed time), michelangelo's pietà, and, obviously, the three of swords tarot card.

I am beyond excited to share my contribution to this year's Big Bang! This is an art piece to the fic 'Peace' by @MyDamnHead, go check it out on AO3. Here's the summary:

“Kara.” Her voice sounds breathy. She places her hand on Kara’s chest to pause her. To keep the moment from crashing into shore. “We’ve been friends for years.” Comes out of Kara’s mouth in a weak little huff. “We’ve both grown so much.” She pauses. “I think we’ve been growing in this direction together for a while now.” Another pause. Quieter. “Haven’t we?” Lena has no idea how their faces got this close. “I don’t know.” “I know you. I know you want this too. What’s stopping you?” The room is completely silent. She can hear herself swallow and it sounds like a cannon. “If this is about being afraid of losing-” “That’s not what it is! It’s just-” It’s just that she can’t find her words. It’s just that it is about being afraid of losing her. It’s just that Kara’s too good, too undeserving for all the disruption she has and still will cause her. Kara pulls her head back to look Lena more clearly in the eye. “I don’t bring you any sort of levity to your life” It comes out louder and more argumentative than Lena intends for it to be.
