Follow my magical journey through space, time and popsicle stick buildings. The Plan: to create a miniature Wild West town out of Popsicle sticks.

HOLY MOLY ITS FINALLY DONE. Welcome to the Lucky Charm. For all your finest dining and drinking in the west. When the mine was opened it was first to be erected in the town, making it the hub of all socialising. the owners are too busy serving all the customers to bother with maintenance, and the older and worn it looks, much like the residents, the more the locals cherish it.

Could have built a real one in the time it took me to finish this off... If you are reading this. You deserve a medal for even bothering to follow haha. So here it is in its final glory. I do plan on removing any visible hot glue as I see it, as it never seems to disappear. The building is far far from perfect, but i'm stoked for a first try :)

In total there is about 800 - 1000 sticks, lost count of glue sticks, but it would be ~ 50 at a guess. Its all staying modular for easy access/ play. Just need to find a better set to take photos and get some higher quality images of it.

So a few mis calculations gets me some bung walls. but apparently it helps the character of the building

Found an excellent tutorial online (So sorry can't remember where it is) but it uses the left over paper from a sticker sheet. When you print on that side, the ink doesn't dry or stick to it very well. So you can iron it onto any surface (just like those T- shirt transfer sheets). Was a mission to squeeze the iron in that gap but it turns out, that failing at getting it perfect, made the text look so so so much cooler :D

done the sign-writing :D so excited!!! It turned out great considering I was making up the process up as I went. unfortunately the rails keep breaking off so they need repairing. Also door hinges are coming in from China, so waiting for that so I can finally get this thing done haha

Update... FINALLY

Gosh its been ages since the last update, and ages before that one aswell. So thank you to any who are still following haha. This time i’m about to do the signage. So what shall I call it/her/him? I’m thinking something like Lasseter House. Feel free to come up with any name fitting of an old western saloon. Must be family appropriate :)

Sorry Team. Been very busy with life, got a new job so that has been consuming a lot of my time. In saying that I found some old Warhammer 40k terrain pieces I half made years ago ( Used to play the game). thought i'd finish them and sell them off to help fund some more construction and food. Cause food it pretty important. Its sorta related I guess?? for those who are intersted and read this far, its for an army called Orks. Their visual style is very hack and slash, bits and pieces and chaos. So i'm not entirely useless at architecture, they look like that for a reason haha

Yeah so, I'm lining up the walls and adding the details, trying to get everything to align. once I varnish the interior wooden trim, I'll be in to stick up the first floor. OH yeah and this is the new interior paint. Less detailed but a lot more rustic/ older shabbier look than the cherries :)

and they are done. Well mostly. I'll need to touch up and add some more grime once its all together which should be done be the end of the week!!!! DANG I keep forgetting to make doors...

I made a mistake and put the wall paper on first. it probably should've gone after I paint everything. Plus I wasn't happy with that pattern. So the executive decision had to be made. Bye bye wallpaper.
