Let the rain wash away the weight of yesterday. Monday is your fresh start in a mist of possibility.
Today is yours. The light waits—gold on the sidewalk, warm on your coffee, a small bird testing a new song. Breathe. Walk. Say yes to the bright answer you haven’t spoken yet. ✨🌿
Hi Everyone!
This feels really weird and feeling quite vulnerable with asking for help.
All of the info is on the go fund me link but it's basically about asking for support in trying to rebuild my life after domestic abuse.

Even if you can't help me then I appreciate you taking the time to read this post ❤️ I'm also very open to any advice regarding my situation as I just feel so stuck with everything.

I plan on paying this forward when I'm in a better position ❤️ Thank you for reading ❤️
Focusing on Positive Energy
I'm having better days. I've made some changes, like spending LESS time on social media and using my phone less in general.
No more using the phone on the toilet! I know it's silly, but let's be honest, that's where most social media consumption happens. Instead, I've put some comic books in the bathroom and now I enjoy reading while "taking care of business."
Tumblr is the only social media platform I still use a bit. It's a safer space, it's slower, and it helps me express my thoughts without having to interact with "people I know."
I need to get my energy and focus back.
In the morning, first things first: meditation.
Then, I go to the gym four times per week to build muscle and get stronger and stronger.
Planning my day also helps, from smaller to bigger tasks. It gives me a sense of control and fulfillment.
And last but not least, I take a lot of walks. Walking in my village, in the calm of the Dutch summer, just me and my audiobooks, calms my nerves.
Whenever bad thoughts come, I repeat my positive affirmations, which I also keep on a note on my phone. So when I'm tempted to go on social media, I open that note instead.
And when things get really bad, I blast some good music and dance around. It might sound silly, but it's scientifically proven that physical activity can improve your mood and give you a bit of endorphins to keep you happy.
So far, this is working pretty well (along with therapy), and my second week of job hunting has been less desperate than the first one.
🖊 A few bad chapters does not mean your story is over. Simply turn the page, and write a new one. Your the author of your life so you can turn that page, and start fresh anytime. The choice is yours!
This year has been the hardest year of my entire life. I was living a life that wasn’t my own. Living a life being “good” doing what I was supposed to do. Being who everyone thought I should be. Somewhere along the way I found my strength. The strength to start over. To burn it all down in hopes of making a beautiful life out of the ashes. So this year I’m thankful to be alive, to have a choice, and that I finally found my strength.
Let’s CTRL-ALT-DELETE 2020 and Start Afresh.
“Learn from yesterday, live for today…..”
2020 was a year like no other.
It’s been challenging, to say the least for so many folks out there and truly magnified just how unpredictable and unwritten life is.
Some of the most notable words and phrases being thrown around, sum up 2020 to a T, Terrible! Here’s a few of the highlights, deemed most revealing of people’s experiences, thoughts and feels:
From relentless to surreal, lost, exhausting, quarantine, disjointed, nightmare, doom scrolling, broken dreams, surreal, limbo, stifling, ugh!
To phrases like,“I can’t breathe” and a “television show that never knows when to end.”
But not all was doom and gloom, for transformative, perseverance, self-sacrifice and Black Lives Matter were also expressed as a glimmer of positivity and hope.
We’ve been on a mission to roll into 2021 on a positive note, whilst also reflecting on a year that sailed away into the shit storm.
The first step toward positive progression, in almost any situation is to be honest. That means, embracing the reality that we had a tough, bumpy, hell of a year with unyielding upheaval and to note the positives that came out of it.
Whether it be, taking a break from the constant rat race or daily routine, spending time with family and friends, having more time for yourself, to personal accomplishments or just catching up on life and actually putting health first!
The daily search for mini wins has truly brought out inventiveness and resilience, whilst also benefiting from looking at the world through a different lens. Gaining perspective, flipping a negative to a positive or being inspired to write a blues song, could just be your thang!
“The only thing you sometimes have control over is perspective. You don't have control over your situation. But you have a choice about how you view it.”
— Chris Pine
“Always turn a negative situation into a positive situation.”
— Michael Jordan
“Every bad situation is a blues song waiting to happen.”
— Amy Winehouse
“No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.”
— Buddha
“With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.”
— Eleanor Roosevelt
“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”
—Albert Einstein
2020 that’s a f**king WRAP.
12 new chapters await!
