During his final fight with Lucci, Luffy will talk about being strong enough to protect even the weakest of his crew, because he wants to be able to sail with his friends even if they aren’t strong. By this metric, if there’s one failing in this whole mess I’d pin squarely on Luffy’s shoulders it’s him not protecting Usopp while he was trying to guard the money. Firstly by being too irresponsible to guard the money himself, and secondly by not realizing that Usopp had been kidnapped. 

What’s funny to me, is that Usopp never really blames Luffy for this. He’s falsely accusing Luffy of being a bad captain for abandoning the Merry but never once mentions how he himself was (unwittingly) abandoned in his own time of need.

VTMB2 and VTMB1- Tidbits, Trivia, etc

 Slugg is a slimey piece of shit

Mitsoda and Kara Ellison described Slugg as “a keyboard warrior who tells people to die in a fire, pathetic, gross and horrible.”  Mitsoda was so surpised that people emphasized with him and wanted him safe, that he basically was like “Mmm, do we really want Slugg to stay alive? Do we?”

Slugg also makes his money by putting revenge porn on the internet (How he gets those vids in the first place is another story…).

 Mitsoda doesn’t have any favourite characters in VTMB1 but he has quite a lot in VTMB2. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t like VTMB1 or anything.

Kara Ellison’s favourite characters in VTMB1 are Jeanette and Nines

Nines is NOT going to appear in VTMB2. But you are always free to include him in fanfics.

VTMB2 has a much bigger world and twice or thrice as many characters and quests. Scheduling and hiring voic actors is especially stressful.
