Sooooo I've been very inspired by the lovely @marishaart and her amazing art piece of Maul as a Rockstar. Decided to sew a leather jacket and then one thing led to another, guitars were made aaand now I got my own Rockstar Maul :D

Anybody wanna get tickets and head to the Naboo concert with me tomorrow? 😂

As always a mini breakdown on all the custom stuff:

- jacket sewn by me, had to alter another sewing pattern I had to make this. It was...challenging? 😂 very fun though. all the zippers and buttons are silver colored cardboard pieces or painted on with silver acrylic paint

- the guitar bases are wood (big thanks to my dad who sawed then out for me :D), the fretboard is a popsicle stick, the little details are mostly colored cardboard, all paint is acrylic paint. The strings are stretchy nylon threads. I'm especially proud of the straps simply because I made them adjustable with little buckles made from paper clips 😂 the little knobs at the top where the strings are attached are clipped down pins

- the microphone is stolen from my hot toys Beetlejuice and the microphone stand is made of a looooot of black tape, cardboard and some wooden skewers

- the necklace is just some bead on a string

my ancient computer finally died in a way i couldn't fix and finally, finally...i am set up to do digital art again. i've tried a couple of practice pieces but this is the first one i feel is close to good enough for the art blog.

not perfect, but better than anything else i've made for WAY too long. so hopefully this is the beginning of this blog becoming more active again!

(this is based on pictures my mom took of me taking a nap with my favorite cat years ago. i miss that little guy.)

Say what you want about Maul, at least he’s awkwardly honest to his prospective apprentices if lying would be far too egregious even for him. Bro will not (cannot) deny being a murderer, and he certainly won’t pretend to be a Jedi.
