Witness Protection || Sebastian and Porter || V8 W3 || Friday Eve.
Sebastian sighed, feeling a little uneasy that things were going mostly well. “Your new identity is something I created, a twin brother you didn’t know existed. You can still be yourself, mostly. Don’t do all of the same things. There’s a birth certificate, drivers license, passport, and social security card in there.” He answered, pausing at Porter’s set of questions.
“If I were you? Get out of town. For at least a few weeks. If need be, I can adjust your will and put the bar in your brother's custody. But in my opinion, I wouldn’t come back for a while. I don’t know how long until they start looking for you again. From experience, none of the people I’ve ever done this for have ever been hunted by them again.”
Even in such an awful situation, Porter found he couldn’t help but scoff. “Just what my family needs, more people in it.” Po quickly scanned through the information. So he was Francisco Carrillo now, and he was going to have to leave the city he’d spent of of his life in. Perhaps he could live with his parents for a bit, that’s something a long-lost twin would do, right? Or maybe ... He was thinking about this far too much - right now he just had to get out of there.Â
Nodding, Porter put all the new documents back in the envelope, and pushed them in his back pocket. Aware that this was his new life, Porter looked up at the man and extended a hand. “Thank you, I... I don’t even know your name, but thank you.” He shook the man’s hand, took one last look at the now fiery remains of what used to be his home from home, before rushing out the back gate into whatever new life he might find. He could only hope that whoever he ended up being, the Hunters didn’t find out about him again.
