We Are The Tigers Week 2026 begins July 26th and ends August 1st this year!

so imagine you're seventeen years old and you're lined up for the olympics but you injure your knee and you can't pass the drug tests so they don't let you in, and then you drop one of your cheer teammates at a game because you show up high and she gets a concussion. and you're super aware that everyone knows that's why you fucked up and are just being polite enough not to say it directly to you (most of the time.) and you have to earn back their trust crumb by crumb, but hey, at least your lesbian bestie who is totally in love with you but playing it cool still believes in you. and your bestie fucking hates the cheer team and is only doing it for you and tbh you also mostly hate all your teammates as well but everyone's constantly bringing up the olympics thing and the dropping your teammate thing so you feel like you have to save face and not look like you're too broken even for high school cheerleading. and then at a cheer team slumber party your bestie catches sight of the painkillers you keep on you, realizes you're still using despite her belief that you got over it and that you're better than this, and storms off saying you've lost the one person who was still on your side. and you have a dramatic soliloquy song about hating yourself and really not being better than anything. and then you get stabbed. to death. at the slumber party. by your cheer captain. because your drug addiction was getting in the way of your cheering and she felt like you weren't being a team player anymore. and it's not even thirty minutes into the musical you're in. happened to my friend chess wearethetigers.

can't stress enough that she lost her very last friend for not being sober and then got violently murdered on the lawn at the Annual Tigers' Cheer Team Slumber Party. perhaps the single worst death a seventeen year old girl could imagine.

okay y’all hear me out here: annleigh should not have been dating dane at the end of the show. what should have happened is at the beginning of act two, somehow we find out that annleigh started dating a guy fairly soon after the sleepover in act one, and then she continues to be remarkably callous about clark’s death, similar to how she was in canon. however, in finale, when she actually starts healing in a healthy way, she says she broke up with the guy because she recognized that being in a relationship wasn’t what she needed to heal, and she needed space to properly grieve her boyfriend and sister
