The Portland Australian Football Club proudly presents its 2018 Steelheads Leadership line-up... (swipe left!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Erik Anderson - Steelheads Captain ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It is our pleasure to announce Erik Anderson as the Captain of the 2018 Portland Steelheads. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Erik has been a part of the club for 3 years and continues to develop his game. Although fairly new to the game, Erik sets an example with his style of unselfish play, hard running and contested marking ability. Already one of the best players at the club, the burden of captain will not slow him down but only elevate his game. We are in very good hands this season with Erik leading the way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Alex McPhee - Vice Captain ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We couldn't be happier to have Alex back at the club after his time away at college. Alex is the perfect teammate who never gives up on the footy field and this was shown at Nationals last year against Houston. For those who witnessed this game, you know what I am talking about. I was blown away by his skill, determination and attack on the ball. Alex has taken a large stride this year with his leadership and I look forward in seeing how he fulfills this role. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ryan Coil - Vice Captain ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ryan is the most courageous player on the team (yes, that's why he wears a helmet) and has been a leader in a VC role for the past couple of seasons. Also a PAFL coach, Ryan brings a lot of experience and hard work to the team. If anyone can lead by example on the field... it is Ryan Coil. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Elliot Boys - Vice Captain ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Elliot has stepped up his off field leadership this year which has translated to his game. Much improved and well loved by everyone around the club, we couldn't think of a better player to round out the leadership group. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #FearTheFish #DontDoubtTheTrout #pdx #portland #aussierules #australia (at Portland, Oregon)
