Made an updated chart for my conlang but I also made the questionable decision not to label the symbols...

I know what each symbol represents but none of you do lol. Some sounds actually exist in the language whereas others were introduced and incorporated by outsiders for translation purposes. Or, in other words, they forced their foreign sounds upon them, fundamentally changing the language. Its native speakers exclusively carve into crystal, which it why its made up of straight lines and right angles.

So, I've never been particularly drawn to Black Sapphire Cookie. In fact, I don't really play Kingdom at all. Its gacha system is just too predatory. I'm more of an Ovenbreak girlie. But that doesn't mean I don't follow its lore. Kingdom has waaaay better lore and writing than it has any right to, and fantastic character design to boot, so of course I keep an eye on it.

I saw Black Sapphire as a grape-skinned copy of Alastor, who I also can't stand. But his design, like all Cookie Run designs regardless of game, is excellent: strong silhouette, bold color-scheme, and that sentient microphone-staff thing. Holy shit, I love his staff. That after show or whatever they're calling it was fantastic. The fact that it's one of the deceitlings that knows the truth is fascinating. Does he engage in deceit to distract himself from this lonely truth? Was this knowledge passed to him by the Fount himself? And, like White Lily, was it this forbidden knowledge that turned the Fount into the Beast known as Shadow Milk?

The way Black Sapphire spoke about it made it seem like he was truly alone in this reality, which makes me wonder if Shadow Milk even knows himself. And the fact that Candy Apple doesn't know either is strange too, because why would Shmilk reveal the truth to Black Sapphire and not her? I really hope we get to see more of this and it isn't just a throwaway moment. All this intrigues me! And I can't believe I actually want to see more Black Sapphire! I was so annoyed by how he won Husband and Cookie of the Year, but maybe it was for the best??? If we get more of this kind of crazy lore. Honestly didn't expect this from him.

Essek isn't Stupid, he's Naive

I've seen a lot of people call this version of Essek 'stupid,' but I really don't think that's the case. He isn't stupid, he's naive. Think about it. There must be a sense of familiarity and community among the consecuted. Many of them know each other from previous lives. Essek, a young, noble, unconsecuted drow on his first life, would have grown up surrounded by trusted community. Everyone already knows each other and has for a long time. In a world where you no longer need to even introduce yourself, how do you learn what not to share? He doesn't have the experience of past lives to understand the threat posed by outsiders or strangers. We've seen this naivety later in the campaign. Essek's social apprehension, anxiety, and impressionability as seen late-game are hallmark examples of this.

While I can't say I really dig this portrayal of him yet, I'm excited to see where it goes. He's definitely being narratively treated more like a player character this time around, and, frankly, I can't complain about that. We're building some strong parallels between him and Caleb, fleshing out his backstory, and developing a complex system of morality that I'm excited to see explored.

My Thoughts on Hazbin Hotel

So, Hazbin Hotel has only ever been watchable for me because of the music, but there is something wrong with the soundtrack of season 2. Whereas s1 felt like it had actual songs, the best way I can describe the music of s2 is that it feels like I'm being sung at. I guess you can call it talk-singing, maybe. Like, these aren't songs. With some exceptions, most of the music this season doesn't feel like it can be listened to outside of the episode it appears in. The plot sucks and the pacing is awful and the characters are annoying and they're all over-designed; I literally came here for the ost and I can't even enjoy that.

MILLY'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Toho you'd better let her stay positive. I get that this is kind of a darker retelling, but Milly's sunny outlook is the very reason she was able to understand Vash far quicker than Meryl. She knows the kind of world she lives in and chooses to be happy, kind and helpful anyway. That, as much as her minigun, is what makes her such a badass.
