she jumps, floating just an inch higher for a millisecond. her heart beats fast as she spins around, eyes at the stranger to check who it is. they're back on the ground as fast as she spun, though, and she mumbles with a slightly shaky voice.

With that, he carefully bent down, then splattered against the cool ground like a cracked egg. His head turns over to gaze fondly at the stranger. “—-why’s you on tu’ground? Standin’ on yur’ feet can be tricky sometimes, but it can take yuh’ tu’cool places, like—-like KFC. The ground can’t take yu’ there unless someone drops somethin’, an’ then yu’ gotta fight wiv’ the pigeons.”
when she hears what he's got to say, she smiles. never mind, the pounding in her head and her sore body. this stranger is a lot better to focus on than that.
❝ walking and standing would be pretty ideal for me, especially since i was trying to get somewhere... but maybe those pigeons can help me out instead. did i understand that correctly? ❞
“well yeah, i know that. you guys don’t hide well.”
she figured it was better that he wasn’t one of those depressed ghosts, those were always a pain to talk to. but he still gave her this weird feeling and she was definitely not letting her guard down.
“Anyways where do you want to go?”
❝ i'm not hiding.❞
there was no point in hiding, he wanted them to see what they've done. floating down to get on his feet, he shrugs, eyes looking away and distant in thought. maybe instead of taking over this girl, he should befriend her instead.

“Well I do."
she rolls her eyes and folds her arms over her chest. you’d think ghosts would know about her kind by now.
“Supernatural creatures that can predict death and talk to spirits.”
❝ huh. well. alright.❞
he idly floats, not really liking the way she rolled her eyes. he figures that if this girl is a supernatural being, maybe she'd be an ideal vessel. there seems to be a strong aura around her though. the task would be hard work.
❝ right. i'm a ghost. of course things like that exist. ❞
"Sorry, I guess." This wasn’t the first time she’s been told that. "That’s because I’m sort of connected to your kind..I’m a banshee. Anyways, I want to get food.”
❝ i don’t eat.❞
he looks at her skeptically, a brow raised, and his jaw slacked very slightly. he’ll follow her wherever she wants to go, but first, he needs to interrogate her.
❝ what the hell is a banshee? ❞
"—-you wants me’tu help you up, or lie down beside yuh’ so yuh’ dun’ feel lonely?”
that's got to be the nicest and cutest thing someone has ever said to her in a long time. she shifts to lay back down, eyes turned to the ceiling.
❝ um. whichever... it's really up to you. ❞
❝ — um... a little help, please? ❞
my last word will probably be either “whoops” or “shit”
[Aideen watches him hover and she shrugs]
“Doubtful, I’ve had nightmares scarier than you and this place. I just don’t want to be here..gives me a bad vibe.”

he continues hovering, disappointed and embarrassed. he thought he’d be able to scare someone. what a shame.

he glares at her, almost offended. with a snap of his fingers, he hovers, shaking his head.
