Rusted with Regret

I want to look you dead in the eyes And scream that I used to love you.

We make eye contact from across the room. When you say something funny or witty. I used to love that.

And if we were still friends, I’d laugh and call you a nerd. You used to “hate” that.

But now I just watch you and her. As if we never happened. As if you never leaned in to kiss me. As if you never said any of that.

Maybe you were pitying me. But now its all blatant disregard. You act as if I don’t exist As if I’m a relic of the distant past, rusted with regret.

And that’s how I feel; rusted with regret. And corroding in constant anger that fuels me like acid on the skin. It burns at my soul and my wrapped heart.

You caused me such happiness; your smile kept me going, and I regarded you with the highest respect. But now you cause me vague pain; The kind of pain that rests in your chest And rips inside your heart strings.

I miss you. I want you back. And away from her. But now its all soured. And I know I don’t need you. I need you not as a friend, nor as a lover. I’m going to let go.

Hey guys! So Halloween is coming up (2 months 😂) and I just want to let everyone know that if you want you makeup done for Halloween, or any occasion, such as the zombie walk, I will totally do it! (I will also do face painting for kid’s birthdays, and it won’t be gory or bloody, I promise!).
