#TBT to our feature "Beyond the Binary: Secret Femme Faggots and other Fierce Femmes" for Issue 02 by @corinnegoldenberg :: “To me, there’s such a power trip in bringing masculinity—my form of masculinity, with my cock and my edges—into a relationship where somebody holds themselves as more conventionally masculine. I love pushing that boundary. It’s a huge turn on and huge power play and I love watching people get out of their head about...how they should fuck...because of their male or masculine identity. I love watching people go through that process, and in that process finding a ton of pleasure.” ::⠀ Photographed by @ashertorresphotography
Editorial: Fluid Love
Andrés Rangl is a Costa Rican Fashion Art Director, currently based in New York. He explains, “The nostalgia of having old pictures in my hands and observing the way people used to dress, is what brought me into photography. I’m focusing my work on alternative fashion insights, and exploring the margins of gender, sexuality, and digital culture.”
Andrés’s work questions what it means to be an “online globalized (a)sexualized body within offline reality,” or essentially how we might or might not experience our sexuality based on the dichotomy of our virtual selves in relation to our in-and-off-screens interactions.
This fashion editorial, art directed by Andrés Rangl, was inspired by the desire to bring to life what a non-binary panromanticism might look like.
Why we launched a membership program, a letter from our editor-in-chief @winter.e.m ⠀ :: "We launched a membership program in an effort to develop a living, active Posture community comprised of like-minded people working within the realms of art and fashion. While we will still host parties, this new program will allow us to shift priorities to focus on events for members that foster idea/skillshare, networking, and education." :: ⠀ Your support will help this program grow and move forward. Posture X Ello Artist Invitation Print Magazine & Exhibition
Open For Submissions Aug 14 — Aug 30, 2017
SUBMIT: http://bit.ly/2vAow1J
Posture has released three print issues to date and we’re gearing up to release our fourth. Each edition has a particular theme and this time we’re turning to the dark side with The Infamous Issue.
The Posture team will select five artists to publish in The Infamous Issue and invite 30 artists to exhibit their work at the Posture X Ello art exhibition in New York City. The exhibition is also the celebration of the issue release so it’s going to be major (in our unbiased opinion).
Artists of all mediums are invited to submit images of work that relates to the “Infamous” theme. This theme is completely open to your creative interpretation.
#TBT to Editorial No. 04 for Issue 02 by @gregmania :: “Despite its simple and universal quality, the white button- down is the greatest indicator of individuality: how you wear it, how you choose to exude your spirit with it, and how you tell a story with it are all elements blind to sexual and gender identity. It’s malleable in style, and limitless in how one can communicate themselves with it. Unity begins at an individual level, and only until we discover who we are at the core, can we come together with our love and compassion for each other.” ::⠀ Photography by @callaway_images • Styling by @styledbyphil • Model @hautegaunt 🌈
The feel-good books centering queer parents you should read right now.
Check out our new artist spotlight on @chatnoir______ where they discuss their evolution as an artist, themes they explore, and their upcoming projects. ⠀ :: "I am sifting through my memories and altering the physics of the spaces and bodies I’ve once occupied. I think about Maya Angelou’s words and how she says we must be 'bold enough to reinvent ourselves daily.' I’m always working towards such boldness in my poetry and, now, I want to apply this dedication to performance. This goes hand in hand with my practice of 'self excavation' — I ask myself often, 'if you were to reach inside for an artifact that proves that you exist, what would you extract?'" :: ⠀ Photo by @sammckenna • Read the rest at posturemag.com 🐝

Great new essay up today by @motteroffact, "Drag in the Desert" :: "Through drag I began a journey towards finding self-love. After posing for photoshoots in drag, I would stare at my silhouette for hours, in shock that the glamazon onscreen was really and truly me. I see my face in makeup and am taken aback by my beauty, then am taken aback again to see that beauty retained once the product is washed off." :: Photography by @d.trev • Read the full essay at posturemag.com ✨
