HOGWARTS FOUNDING WISH
☞ RIDDLES, ENCHANTMENTS, AND MORE!
Parents of students that attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry have recently brought up concerns to the Daily Prophet over a mystery lingering in the halls of the famous ancient school. According to some eye-witness students, accounted by their parents, a magical enchantment has been bestowed upon the entirety of the school with the promises of a wish. Anyone who completes all four tasks, one each designed by a Founding Member of Hogwarts, will be granted one wish of their heart’s desire.
Students have been advised by professors not to pursue the wish, however, some seem to encourage their students to seek the promises of riches and fame since they have entered into the race themselves. Professor Viktor Krum, Ex-Seeker for the Bulgarian Quidditch Team, and Professor George Weasley, co-owner of Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, have joined their students or counterparts in completing the tasks for the wish. Many parents, since the beginning of the school year, have voiced their opinions on whether Professor Krum and Professor Weasley have qualifications in teaching their children, yet the immaturity of putting their undergraduates at risk of this enchantment only heighten these parent’s concerns. Viktor Krum has past behaviours with Dark Magic since his schooling at Durmstrang Institution, studying under the influences of ex-Death Eater, Igor Karkaroff. He was recently given the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts by Headmistress McGonagall, despite retorts and protests from parents. With his recent actions in pursuing the riddle with his students, many are raising eyebrows at the possible promises of Dark Arts rising again if Viktor Krum achieves this wish-- if the wish is indeed real.
The Daily Prophet reached out to Molly Weasley and Arthur Weasley, parents of Professor George Weasley, for any comments on their son’s behaviour but they refused to speak on this matter.
Some parents have reported that students are jumping into the Black Lake at Hogwarts in order to complete the first task. Many are raising their voices in protest to bring the students home until the riddles disappear, and to cancel N.E.W.T. exams for those returning students, completing their last year, who are partaking in the riddle activities. Since the TriWizard Tournaments held in 1994, during Albus Dumbledore’s reign as Headmaster, champions accounted what mysterious creatures they discovered under the murky waters of the lake. One champion, a Hufflepuff boy, discribed the merpeople living beneath the waters, as well as grindylows, a giant squid, murtlap, flying seahorses, and more. Most of these creatures are dangerous to our children, and these riddles must be put to a stop, otherwise the fate of our students will mimic that of the Hufflepuff Champion.
Headmistress McGonagall
☞ Why is Hogwarts unattended?
With the recent discovery of the Founding Wish at Hogwarts, since the event of a “Welcoming Ball,” Headmistress Minerva McGonagall has been hospitalised at St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. It has been reported that Hogwarts is currently without a Headmaster for the past couple of weeks, and as the school slowly starts to delve into these tasks and riddles promoted by the Founding Members, many wonder who is going to protect their children and bring a halt to the riddles. The current reports on Headmistress McGonagall’s health are unknown, and many are still unaware of what caused her to be admitted into healer care. Reports of her accident are being kept low and only those who attended the “Welcoming Ball” have eye-witness accounts of the Headmistress’ accident. The Daily Prophet was unable to speak to any of the ball invitees.
