i dont wanna interrupt the important conversation but i found a new food for dad and it DOES have potatoes and ice cream in it

its called dirty chips and you cut a chips bag open and put soft serve in it and then salted caramel sauce and then little daim balls

Honestly, that doesn't sound terrible :'( I mean it doesn't sound good, but it doesn't sound as awful as Onion Night or Mustard Night :'(

Because at least here, fries + milkshakes is a thing :'( It's the salty and sweet flavors together :'(

you could even order just fries and ice cream at mcdonalds (maybe you still can but we dont wanna)

i think if you eat the ice cream and toppings first and then take off the top chips youll still have normal chips to eat 😤

Just woke back up, rolled over, and neaelt freaked out because we thought there was a sea gull sitting there staring at us.

We hate that it's getting to a point where we're starting to consider getting back on sertraline just to make life more manageable. We don't want to go back to taking pills that greatly up the chances for dementia -- and that's *all* types of antidepressants, not just SSRIs -- and we hate having to numb ourselves down to be able to function properly.

It's so weird that I canonically have a little brother, because I don't remember him at all.

We are so glad we've never told T we're plural. During our session today, we mentioned that when we were younger, we'd sometimes wonder if our mother had DID or something.

"Oh, no one in the mental health world actually believes in that anymore. It was a big thing in the 80s, but today no one actually believes you can split your personality."

This is /exactly/ why we don't get systems who want to come out to new therapists during their first session despite their problems not being system related.

#We can't lie and say this wasn't disappointing to find out.#But we also understand that DID is a very doubted diagnosis and uh.#Looking at a very large part of the plural community? We can't blame professionals for doubting.#So. This doesn't really change anything. Because system stuff is not what we're there for anyway.#We're actually kind of glad we found out so we wouldn't have fucked up by telling him at some point.

Watching leaks on Tiktok and hm, I sure am glad losing two children of her own made Rhaenyra so kind and compassionate towards other mothers (especially ones who have also lost a child).

Allowing "me" to see my only surviving child for "an hour every few days or so" is such an act of genuine kindness.

I love my kids, and wouldn't trade them for the world. But when I look at things from a modern perspective, I realize just how horrifying it is that I had them at twelve.

And that it was expected of me. Marriage and children was expected of a twelve year old.

And I kind of think that maybe I didn't deserve that.

but the llamas were hiding indoors and we didnt get to see budgies or snakes or guinea pigs but thats okay because i love cockatiels forever now

Well, the day is starting out great by the bus being late.

Update: I'm on the bus. Sitting very far in the back to be as far away from Scream-Tommy as possible.

On the opposite side of the aisle are two very young women who are accompanying a guy with Down's and another mentally disabled guy. They are loudly complaining about their work hours (and one of them is very cool, with her "man" and "bro") and one of them is upset because she's made the decision to wear like... Thin, low summer shoes without socks when going to a farm. They are completely ignoring the people in their charge to scroll on their phone and complain to each other. I am glad they really vet who they hire to work with disabled people. /s

This sure will be an enjoyable ride.

The next group is boarding now. Meanwhile, the girls keep bitching about their job and how they plan to quit (in front of their charges...) and how much they hate their boss because one of them got scolded for oversleeping and their boss is a failure anyway because she's Swedish and works with this (so only non-Swedes can work with mentally disabled people without being failures..?).

God what professional people. I am so glad LSS hires literally anyone without checking if they're fit for the job.

The bus is finally taking off and the girls are still bitching so I can't focus on my book.
