SHINING LIKE THE SUUUUN
SMILING, HAVING FUUUUN
FEELIN' LIKE A NUMBER OOOONE"
YOUR ANIMAL FAMILIAR.
You Got: Dolphin
Known for its playful and upbeat nature, the Dolphin is in fact one of the smartest animals, besides humans. Their sometimes accepting behavior around us has lead to them as being a symbol of protection and kindness. Like the Dolphin, you are a very creative and cheery individual, but intelligent as well. You don't overthink things, instead trusting your intuition and enjoying life as it is. However, if someone is hurting you or others, you don't back down, and are brave enough to stand up and face the threat. A Dolphin familiar helps guide their master to the right decision, show the optimistic side of things, and inspire them in ideas or goals.
This familiar represents:
Creativity
Playfulness
Intuition
Protectiveness
Acceptance of others
Bravery
Optimism

âSmart boy. You arenât good enough for me, but nobody truly is.â
A slight move of her hand and the web tightened around him, digging into his skin. She let out a bored sigh. She was beginning to wish sheâd just drained him.
âIt would not be a permanent arrangement. I lose interest quickly. What I am offering you is an extension on your expiration date. Make a decision quickly.â
Kiyo could feel the webbing constrict his body, and he couldnât help but strain him just to tolerate it. Any more, and it just might actually break through the skin and draw out whateverâs left in his bloodstream...
What the hell kind of deal was this, then? âAn extension on his expiration date,â she says. Not to mention, she loses interest quickly. Forget trying to suck up to her, he knows for sure that his inexperienced ass wonât last any more than a couple of days, and thatâs excluding the fact heâd only be half-invested out of sheer survival instincts.Â
â..Forget it.â And so he signed his own death sentence with a grimace on his face. âTo begin with, I donât like the thought of sustaining a relationship with half a heart just because my life depended on it. I think Iâd rather die an honest, dignified man...â
Sorry, Avery. âGuess I wasnât much use as a friend you could depend on. ..Sorry, Dad. You worked so hard to raise me when Mom died all for nothing. ... Sorry Mom... I didnât live a life I was happy with in the end...
Sorry... ..Sorry.. Iâm really sorry.
lovelylatrodectusâ:
âNothing demeaning, of course. You would be afforded every luxury that I am and treated with respect. I would not even feed from you, unless you offered.â
She pressed her soft thumb to the small punctures in his neck, stemming the flow of blood for now. Applying pressure would eventually allow the blood to clot and close the wounds.
âYou would be my⊠Companion. It has been a while since Iâve had anybody long term. Somebody to talk to⊠Confide in. Somebody to hold while I sleep. You could do these things, couldnât you?â
--Is-- Is she.. serious? Was Akane genuinely considering him in being her partner?? Kiyo isnât sure if he should even be flattered by this. If it werenât for the perilous situation, heâd probably be guessing that maybe he had some charm after all.
..Still, sheâs offering him an opportunity. If he took it, heâll get a chance to save Avery the trouble. Kiyo may be a terrible liar, but heâs also good as giving his all when he needs it...
Dwelling on it for a little more, he ended up letting his head slump. A bit of bitterness stuck in his tone, although there was also genuine shame hinted at in his expression.
â..I donât really know if I am, if I had to be honest... Never exactly scored a date before, for one thing... Not to mention, youâre actually scary... It could be a lose-lose situation for all I know... Iâd risk taking the offer, but I...â â..donât-- know if Iâm good enough for you.â
lovelylatrodectusâ:
Akane drew back, tongue passing over the tiny punctures in his neck as she did. She watched him for a moment, feeling something akin to sympathy. It was always like this with the ones she had to corner.
âPoor sweet boy. I really am fond of you, itâs just a shame youâre harboring a fugitive.â
She pressed her blood-coated lips to his.
âAnd not even a quirk to defend yourself. How Iâd love to take you home and keep you. Would you like that, or would you like to die here?â
Getting the taste of his blood from another personâs lips definitely wasnât like tasting it from injuries under his own accord. Kiyo practically cringed, jerking his head away as best as he could just so he could break the kiss. Shame and anger were both aglow in the glare of his pained gaze, but then she was giving him an offer.
Keep him...? Like a pet?? Or... as a supply for blood?
Obviously, he didnât want to die, but he didnât want to tarnish his own dignity to preserve his life either. If he died, heâll lose any chance of protecting Avery... ..But if he took her offer, will he be able to find an opportunity to get the upper hand on her before Averyâs taken back?
â... What do you mean by.. k-keeping me...?â Caution continued to linger in the tone of his voice, but he made sure to show a sense of interest. Heâs just a sad, Quirkess guy with no means of defending himself, after all. What else could this poor, unfortunate soul even do?
lovelylatrodectusâ:
âAh- wait!â Kiyo was just about to take his turn with the twenty questions, when Akane suddenly spotted something and rushed to it without haste. He ran after her without hesitation, just as expected. Someone like him just couldnât let an innocent civilian run off when danger could be lurking around every corner, not when he had the potential to help her.
âAkane!â
It was as easy as that.
The narrow alleyway was the perfect place to spin her translucent web, and in Kiyoâs hurry to catch her, he hadnât seen it in time. The web, stronger than titanium, held him in place like a near-invisible net.
âA shame to have to do it this way. I usually like to have fun first, but you were so damn set on being proper. Now, what I came forâŠâ
She pressed herself close to him and extracted his phone from his pocket, dropping it into her small handbag.
âThat will do. Thank you for keeping my property safe for me, I will be glad to bring him home once Iâve disposed of you.â
With a flick of her tongue she located his jugular vein and sunk her teeth into his neck.
â---?!â Kiyo couldnât even see what heâd suddenly run into. Stuck in the webs, he struggled with all his might, catching brief glimpses of when he could just make out the strong, silky threads. It was a trap. He should have listened to his gut feelings of there being something that wasnât right. And now that Akane had returned within his sights, she confirmed his suspicions right down to a T.
Itâs a member of that villain organization. The one who makes people like Avery.
âHey--!â Getting his phone taken had Kiyo struggling once more. Akane was really after Avery. He canât let him end up like last time against that other girl. He has to get free and subdue her before Avery ends up hurt again.
..But of course, it was all for naught. Kiyo could barely move within her web, couldnât free any of his limbs to defend himself from her hunger. Before long, his body went tense from fangs puncturing his neck, and then.. he could feel the blood in his veins beginning to drain out.
lovelylatrodectusâ:
~ TIME SKIP HAPPENS LETâS GET TO THE BADS ~
Lunch continued with Akane on her best behavior, and before long they were on their way to the arcade. She insisted upon one nearby, one that they could travel to on foot.
She timed the distance and at about the halfway point, she stopped in her tracks and glanced down an alleyway, an expression of surprise on her face.
âKiyo, I think thereâs somethingâŠâ
She ran down into the alleyway without waiting to see if he would follow. She was sure he would.
Thank goodness, lunch resumed and finished without any other incidents to follow. With their meals paid and their bellies full, Kiyo can try to move on and forgive Akane for that inappropriate attempt. Most of the conversations on the way there was really just Q&A. What did he study? Did he have a job? Mundane things, as well as whether heâs got any Quirk of his own.Â
âAh- wait!â Kiyo was just about to take his turn with the twenty questions, when Akane suddenly spotted something and rushed to it without haste. He ran after her without hesitation, just as expected. Someone like him just couldnât let an innocent civilian run off when danger could be lurking around every corner, not when he had the potential to help her.
âAkane!â
lovelylatrodectusâ:
âVery.â
Akane had barely eaten a mouthful, though luckily her entree was relatively small. She was growing hungrier, however, and Kiyo was growing all the more appetizing.
Disappointed, she returned her foot to her shoe. This was going to have to happen the unpleasant way, it seemed.
âI suppose we can check out one of those arcades.â
Whew. It didnât seem like she was gonna make any more advancements. Thank you, Jesus, for taking the wheel and making it rain. Thank you, gods above, for sending in the cavalry that is Jesus. Itâs a good thing he decided to stall for time. Already, heâs learning more and more about Akane. Poor guy needed a second just to swallow and recollect his nerves, though. You got this, Kiyo. Just give it a little more time.
âGreat! Trust me, itâll be fun. The games there arenât all that bad, and who knows, maybe Iâll finally have a worthy challenger against my air hockey skills.â
lovelylatrodectusâ:
Why was this so difficult? Usually men jumped at the opportunity to bring her home. This was bordering on ridiculous. Was he just overly polite, or was he not into her?
She decided to test the waters.
She began slowly picking at her food, tiny bites, and slipped her foot out of her shoe. Carefully, she let her foot brush along the inside of his leg.
For some reason, having the food arrive felt like some sort of saving grace from humiliating himself any further. Kiyo welcomed it with open arms, giving thanks for the food before starting on his meal. In a way, he could use this as opportunity to pick things back up more properly.
..Well, he wouldâve liked to have done that, until he felt a touchy along the leggy. He nearly coughed the food in his mouth right back out, and lord would that be unpleasant. Kiyoâs face quickly burned red right to the tips of his ears.
Sheâs being feisty. Sheâs being real feisty. Lord God above let Jesus please take the wheel and make it rain âcause this lady be hella thirsty for the bones. Itâs honestly starting to make him wonder if this opportunity just wasnât made for someone like him. Sure would be nice if he was like his other, more ambitious friend...
âSO UH.â Kiyo shifted a little in his seat, clearing his throat as if trying to play off that weird crack in his voice just now. âGOOD FOOD, RIGHT??â
lovelylatrodectusâ:
This was not working in her favor and she was growing frustrated, but she didnât allow that to effect her demeanor. Contingency plans were in place, however - if she couldnât be taken peacefully back to his apartment to carry out the deed, she could drag him into an alley and kill him there. Surely his phone would contain the information she needed.
She just preferred to not make a scene.
âWhile Iâm not opposed to the idea of the arcade, I would, however⊠Prefer a more private locale.â
âHey, itâs whatever youâre more comfortable with...! If thatâs really the case, then we can just go to one of the less popular ones. Itâs a little ways out of route, but just in the next district. Itâs still near my apartment, so we wonât be too far off.â
Kiyo had to remind himself how timid Akane actually is. She may be putting up a bold front, but he canât forget that she did also say how it took some courage to actually go up to him. Heâs gotta make sure that she isnât pushing herself too hard, as well, though. Man, women are pretty admirable when it comes to getting what they want.
The ordered meals soon arrived, each placed in front of their respective consumer. Kiyo apparently took on a seafood route. It was either that, or just.. appetizers.
lovelylatrodectusâ:
Ah, he was nervous. She needed to make him feel more at ease. It made sense - she was certain that he didnât receive many offers like this, after all. She gave a softer smile.
âI didnât mean to make you uncomfortable. I just⊠Tend to not hesitate when I see something that I want. I understand that it may be off-putting, I apologize.â
She did a very good job of looking sheepish.
âHowever, I wouldnât mind coming over for video games, if I havenât scared you off.â
Seeing Akane grow a little shameful made guilt rise up to his throat. He was quick to wave a dismissive hand over their blunder. âAh, no, itâs alright! Really! Iâm just-- not that used to things like this. Doesnât really happen often to a guy like me and all, heh...âÂ
He attempted to lighten the mood with a soft and lighthearted chuckle, though he did seem a little adamant on not going taking her to his home just yet. If heâs gonna let this run its course, he may as well be proper about it and give them time to know each other more.
âIf.. youâre really alright with video games, then we can head to an arcade near the apartment instead. Thereâs more options there than what Iâve got in my place, to be honest. Plus, more games where we can play together. Itâs more fun than just taking turns. Oh, but some music at the park is also still on the table, too. Gotta have a little variety, yeah?â
