Scarecrow villages with fires no longer teaching 

Masked dancers flogged and strapped 

Hung & decayed from the palms of straw hands 

Each new attempt shrouded in the blackened stench of shamanic slaughter 

Seasoned timber piling ever higher 

Containing aging secrets 

Lying in suicidal wait

To be released in smoke filled dance 

To scream its secrets in fiery chant

Morning coffee & handshakes 

Empty rooms locked in heads 

Whats a living room when you fill it with the dead 

When I was a kid 

Blue fingers & grass stained master plans 

Naked jumps into summer fits 

Lets watch from behind the slaughterhouse fence

Lightning bolt, play weather 

Sunday bumps & feel betters

Im a fool in my own head 

Lift your hands, wrinkled punch of lead

What will I find in the Nic-Nacs of a story dotted for more 

This feeling climbs a ladder 

It shines and falls, newborn, stillborn 

When the glass is empty and you're left cooking 

I watch the stars melt like an adolescent fruit punch 

Love drunk
