If you want to be racist then be racist with your full chest. Stop hiding your anti blackness and misogynoir behind āIgnoranceā, claiming you donāt understand the use of Black reader tags.
The reason black writers put āX black readerā isnāt to segregate but INCLUDE because majority of fan fics that have āX readerā are NOT made for all readers. They include tiny descriptions that as a white person you might not notice. But we black fans do.
the blushing
the pulling of straight hair
the easy to bruise skin
It is all very noticeable. So we as black writers use āBlack Readerā as a way to create a space for ourselves in the fandom that we all have a right to enjoy.
It is not our jobs to educate you on the very problems that you as readers create. But a lot of us still do.
Writers are leaving and quitting because of the treatment and racism they face for simply wanting to make a space for themselves and for other black women, it is annoying and honestly just sad.
Every time we try to create a safe and inclusive space for ourselves people try to start shit saying weāre segregating as if they did not do it in the first place.
I feel like sometimes some people forget we exist and we do enjoy stuff too. We are part of fandoms, and we deserve to feel effectively part of it as much as everyone else.
always gonna reblog...
