          Every swing she throws is blocked, the sound of metal clashing with metal become more and more repetitive as time wore on. He wasn’t countering but he wasn’t leaving himself open in anyway. No matter how she angled her blade, the man was sure to stop it before it got too close. Normally, this would’ve frustrated her and resulted in her being a bit more…aggressive. It was like chipping away at a brick wall; it was very possible but it’d take a very long time.

          Again, she backed off. Her hands ached a bit from having held her sword so tightly, protesting as she adjusted her hold on the hilt.

          Parrying seemed to be the only effective way of throwing him off thus far. Slowly, she circles around him and waits for him to attack. She didn’t know whether or not she’d be able to wear him out with this but it was worth a try. If she attacked him relentless, she’d only succeed in tiring herself out long before he even broke a sweat.

      “Come on. I can’t be the only one that’s having fun here.”  the corner of her lip twitched upwards, “Don’t tell me all you know how to do is a few simple swings, how to block, and how to roll.”

         “If you hold back, you’re gonna get hurt.”

[ナイト] ➡          ❝Fun?❞ He started. Link did his best to keep track of the female as she circled him. He was mentally preparing himself for another attack. ❝I’m having a blast. It’s been a while since I’ve taken up arms whether to defend my country or to simply spar. Too long in fact.❞ Link admitted while a smile began to form.

          ❝Though I’d expect someone like you to know that playing with your opponent is the same as playing with fire.❞ His left hand fell from the hilt of the sword. Link’s arm crossed over his chest and he took a deep breathe. A mere moment after he then twirled on his foot holding his sword outward as a way of either attacking the female should she be too close or repelling her if she saw it coming.

          A good spin attack never hurt! Though Link usually had to take a moment to make sure his swing was fierce. Performing a spin attack wrong, or even having a weak swing behind it could leave him open.

(fatal blow meme bc most recent apparently) "You–– You idiot! What the hell?! Sit here, now, let me have a look at that..." She tore into the Hero's tunic to properly examine the wound, cringing and feeling a bout of nausea upon seeing the damage. Innards were visible amidst all the blood. "You don't... have a fairy or a potion, do you? It's stupid to travel without them, so you've got to..." She started to rummage in his pouch.

My character takes a fatal blow intended for your character. How does your character react? ((Old meme))

[ナイト] ➡          Vision fading. Blood escaped his body through his wound and he could feel himself slipping away into unconsciousness. Though Shanz’s voice seemed to shock him awake. Come on Link, you’ve been through worse…! Stay awake. Live to tell the tale! He mentally encouraged himself. Though unfortunately this wouldn’t be easy. He didn’t possess a fairy. ❝Within my satchel….there should be a red potion. Half of it gone.❞He would grimace between words but they got out.

Half a red potion would do. It was better than nothing. She reached a hand into his satchel and found there was a lot more room in it than she expected, forcing her to shove an entire arm down to look for a bottle. Something smooth and glassy bumped against her fingers, and when she shook it, she felt sloshing inside of it. She withdrew her hand at last, uncorked the bottle, and poured the contents down Link’s throat without even checking what it was. (Luckily, she’d grabbed the right one, but still, a bit more care would help in the future.)

[ナイト] ➡          For a moment his eyes closed. Slowly his hand came up to grasp at his nearly fatal wound. Crippling and if Shanzira weren’t here it would’ve been fatal. The second the bottle met his lips he cooperated and opened his mouth. With every gulp he could feel his condition improving. Half a red potion didn’t heal his wound entirely but it was enough to keep him going.

          ❝Thank you....Shanz. I appreciate your help. I owe you my life.❞His words were easier to get out.

“You are certainly no bother, dear Knight.” Anita smiled kindly at him, “quite the opposite… I find your company to be quite…” how to put it? “… pleasant.” She enjoyed it very much to say the least…

Anita couldn’t help but let out a laugh at Link’s next words; his description of the Goron Tribe, very much like her own.  “Indeed!” She chuckled, “but pride can only take you so far… a little extra help now and again isn’t so bad you know…” was she referring to the Gorons now, or perhaps Link himself?

Royalty… yes, let’s go with that.  Although for majority of her life, she had never been treated as such… but royal blood indeed she was Anita supposed… She simply shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly… “I suppose you could put it that way…” was her only verbal answer to his query, before she, too, fell quiet. 

“Amalthea shall certainly be pleased to see you again…” and now came the girls own diversion of an unwelcome topic of conversation… “I never did get to apologize for her crude behavior upon your first meeting with her, did I? Pity.  I am afraid she is often like that with many strangers.  Amalthea prefers her space, prefers to keep herself distant-not very trusting of strangers… a wise policy that.  Sometimes that is best…”

[ナイト] ➡          ❝Don’t worry.❞Link began. ❝I understand. I shouldn’t have been so sudden in my approach. This time will be different I hope.❞And there came a small smile. It was small but a smile nonetheless. Her words didn’t fall on deaf ears. Pride. There were certain things Link was prideful about and other things he was humble about. His knighthood was something he was proud of. His knighthood was in the way he spoke, walked, fought, everything.

          This slump of his was winning. He always tried to put up a facade but ultimately failed. He always chanced moving on from his past mistakes, but he couldn’t for some reason. That was still time taken away from him because he was naive at the time.

          There he goes again. ❝Might I ask what brought you out here today? Browsing the towns wares perhaps?❞

“Okay Okay! It’s over here, geez!” Tei said a lot ruder then she wanted it to sound. But the guy was slightly annoying her. She pulled out the green cap she had found earlier and handed it towards him. Taking a deep breath she forced a light smile. “Here you go.”

[ナイト] ➡          Initially Link reached for the hat to snatch it. But! He remembered his manners. His hands stopped in their place and Link managed to flash the female a smile. In his state of euphoria he didn’t seem to be paying much attention to her annoyance.

         ❝Thank you, madam. My hat....it is quite precious to me.❞ After thanking her Link gently took the hat from her grasp. He didn’t even hesitate to place it back on. Finally! His outfit was complete once more!

‘My, my…’ Anita thought humorously, ‘the boy is certainly taking this game seriously…’  

She enjoyed it. 

She had managed to swim behind a rather large rock, and had succeeded in quietly resurfacing to take a breathe, watching him from behind her hiding place…

A small part of her wanted Link to catch her… yet another small part enjoyed the chase… even if she was currently the prey at the moment… being chased by her handsome Knight was fun… thrilling even.  Still, the last small part of her wanted to win the game, as always… it wasn’t her competitive nature per say, it was simply what she was used to. 

He was getting closer… and still, he hadn’t spotted her… she blamed the mists, strong, and still swirling about them…

With a devilish gleam in her eye, she dipped her hands into the steaming water, watching as he neared her hiding place…

Closer…

Closer…

WHOOSH!

With a playful, child-like giggle, she sent the water his way, splashing him teasingly with the springs water before diving back under to find a new hiding rock…

Had he seen her? 

Goddesses, she was having so much fun already!

[ナイト] ➡          Diligent eyes scanned the area as he hunted for his opponent in this game. Anita thought she could get away? Well he’d show her! Not that he’s ever been hunting before but Link was prowl. He was looking for anything that would tip him off to Anita’s presence. Anything at all that would clue him in to where she may be. Ripples in the water, hair, anything!

          Perhaps he was looking too hard. Or taking this whole thing too seriously. In fact, he was so focused it gave him nearly no time to react when she DID reveal herself. All he heard was the water and the NEXT thing he knew was that he was drenched. She was within his grasp and now he couldn’t see her?! Link naturally covered himself with one arm for the duration of her splash and as soon as it was gone...he reached for her!

         But she was gone. ❝...❞ Either this woman had unheard of speed or....wait. Underwater! She must have dove underwater! She couldn’t have gone THAT far by now. Link didn’t spend a second longer thinking. He took a deep breath then dove underwater in pursuit of Anita.

  “Hm?” Tei looked up, holding a ladle in one hand and a bowl in the other. A cap was found a while ago, though she didn’t know it was a cap but some form of fancy rag. Little did she know it belonged to a really handsome man. Blushing softly she set the bowl and ladle down and walked over to the lost and found.”Ahhh…I think I saw something like that.”

[ナイト] ➡          ❝Please!❞ Link beckoned her quickly. ❝Show me where it might be. I don’t feel quite right without my hat. It’s like a part of me is gone.❞ It was obvious that he had a very.....strong connection to his hat. This woman gave him a glimmer of hope. That was something he would hold onto.

[ナイト] ➡          ❝Excuse me madam.❞Link said while approaching the female. ❝This is a bit embarrassing but I’ve lost my erm....cap.❞ He ran his fingers through the hair on his head. It’s been such a long time since he’s spent so much time without a cap on. Aside from when he’s sleeping. ❝Have you, perhaps, seen a green frygian cap? It’s long and floppy....oh! And green.❞

“Chu!” The black tailed Pikachu seemed dressed in pretty generic swordman garb, flinging about a spare Mii Fighter’s sword when they saw the other, grinning knowingly.

[ナイト] ➡          ❝Is that a challenge?❞Link drew his own sword very carefully. Despite the.....rat? Despite this things size Link wouldn’t at all underestimate it. He’s been underestimated before. The person never saw him coming.

Anita frowned as he sneezed.  She knew the boy would get sick! 

True… the mountain wasn’t as extravagant as the palace… but it was a safe place for her to reside at the very least.  Anita could see that he was at least attempting to force some conversation…

“My former living arrangements were much more extravagant, certainly,” she stated, “still… I could never truly call that place home.  The mountains have been a safe haven to me for quite some time… I was quite fortunate that the Gorons took me in…”

“Still, I might just think about taking up residence here in the forest later pm… I cannot take advantage of the Goron’s kind hospitality forever… for now, however, it is a fine living arrangement.  We shall get you warmed up and rested in no time.  You truly need it…”

[ナイト] ➡          ❝Once I ‘warm up’ I will get out of your hair. I don’t wish to be a bother. Again, I appreciate you allowing me into your home.❞ Link had a habit of pushing people away when he needed them most. It was unintentional since on a rational level he knew he could do with the help but this mostly out of pride.

          He meant no offense to Anita thus far. ❝The Goron’s are indeed very hospitable. Friendly until provoked. A proud people.❞That was his way of attempting to change the subject once again. Draw the focus away from himself. Perhaps he should stay. It was definitely better then staying out in the rain.

          ❝Your previous living arrangement.... you claim it was extravagant. Are you, perhaps royalty?❞ He threw that question out. Just because he wasn’t feeling well didn’t mean his curiosity of Anita had waned.

(( I apologize for popping on earlier then vanishing but, I’ve spent pretty much all day making a Bio for Link. This blog is made for a character we know pretty much nothing about so the least I can do is provide a bio. -w-

[ナイト] ➡          Now that they were just walking Link assumed she didn’t want to say anything further. But, being led so relentlessly through the rain, plus being with another person didn’t allow him to think clearly. Why did he allow this to haunt him? Perhaps he should speak to someone about this.... it would do him more good that way. 

          One thing Link didn’t really think about when he came out here today was, again, getting sick. Or rather he didn’t care. After Anita announced that they would be arriving shortly Link sneezed softly. He should have at least brought something that would cover him from the rain... At least they were in a tunnel now. This surely was better then the rain. Even though Link happened to like the rain, catching a cold was never pleasant no matter how minor. 

          Link felt as though he may be inadvertently directing his anger towards Anita. What with not speaking and all. Plus skipping the greetings like this..... Just because he was in a bad mood dind’t mean he had a free ticket to be rude. ❝...❞ He decided to say something ❝Living in Death Mountain? I didn’t know you enjoyed such settings as this.❞ His tone wasn’t flat. Instead it was more.....serious. He was trying.

[Meanwhile, several feet above the battle, occupying the skies was what looked to be a draconic form. Yet…all it had were the tail and massive wings of said creature, and the full body of a young woman. Partially blinded, green eyes scanned the blurry Hyrule field before they had fallen on some movement down below. From what she could make out, a green blur of a man was fighting appeared to be swarm of Moblins. 

Trying to stay out of it, a familiar, coppery odor hit her sensitive senses. Blood, a horrid scent she was all too familiar with and it coming from Link. Her eyes widened in worry and fear at the sudden realization that the male was hurt badly and yet, he was still fighting. In Celeste’s mind, that was just pure suicide. 

As she pondered on just killing them all, she couldn’t hep but merely wonder if he’d get angry if she did so. She knew a lot of people to be that way, but she knew that she needed to help him before he ended up killed. From the wrap around her hip, she drew a bow and several arrows. One by one, she began shooting at the Moblins but some of the arrows ended up missing and embedding themselves into the ground. 

Otherwise, she never gave up on trying to hit them, which she managed to do so even if half arrow were in the ground in various and the other half were in the dead Moblins. It was a straight up miracle she didn’t hit Link.]

[ナイト] ➡          Death didn’t scare him in the slightest. Now, obviously if he could avoid it he would but Link didn’t crumble under the pressure of situations like this. Link prepared himself to chance a spin attack even with this wound at his side but a hailstorm of arrows came down upon the Moblins and him. Naturally the knight tucked his head and crouched down to avoid getting hit but a few seconds into this assault he realized that it wasn’t him getting hit.....but the Moblins. Whoever was doing this was aiming at the Moblins. 

         He had been saved. Or rather, assisted. There were still a few left for him to take on. The remaining moblins were visually searching around for the person or thing shooting at them giving Link a window of opportunity. His eyes became shifty and finally the male raised his blade.

          His grip tightened and then Link twirled forward holding his sword out. His spin attack was fierce. So fierce it brought him forward and knocked the distracted creatures away from him in the process. Though once his spin attack was finished Link’s arm fell by his side and he winced in pain.

Anita turned abruptly upon hearing the voice behind her.  She hadn’t known that anyone had been following her… the only indication that someone had come upon her in the dead of night had been his voice; she hadn’t heard his footsteps approach…

A hand held tightly to the dagger at her belt, hidden beneath her dark red, golden rimmed cloak, along with her hair, and the majority of her face, hidden beneath shadow, the light reflecting faintly upon ruby lips and shining eyes, a ferociousness within their hews before she drew back in surprise. 

“It’s you…” she murmured softly, drawing the cloak tighter around herself, a few curled strands of golden hair falling from the hood as she had jerked back.  She didn’t bother to fix them back beneath the covering… she should have recognized the voice…

“I…” she began to speak, starting to answer his question before shrugging, averting her gaze, drawing back in upon herself… “No where… it doesn’t matter…”

“Though I could ask the same of you.” She stated almost accusingly, turning her eyes to gaze into his own once more.  “What are you doing out here? You, along with the other Knights of Hyrule should know very well that the forest isn’t safe at this time of night…” it was rarely safe enough during the day; especially when one traversed this far into the trees…

She was hiding much more than ‘flowing locks’ and ‘beautiful features’ beneath this cloak… as it were now, only her arm, which was bare of clothe, seemed to be drawn from the cloak, leading the boy along in what Anita would have hoped been a gesture to quiet the boys constant inquiries…

The rest of her body remained hidden underneath the cloak, her features now still hidden within shadow as she hurried the boy along. 

Though her arm was bare of any sort of sleeve, a large gaudy piece of jewelry shone brightly within the moonlight… a golden bracelet curling up the length of her wrist to her elbow, large rubies and small diamonds weaved within the curling pattern… Anita glared at it, the reflection shining in her eyes before she huffily removed the accessory, stuffing it beneath her cloak.  Though she had removed the jewels from her arms, she could not bear to part with the golden, ruby and diamond encrusted ring upon her right hands middle finger…

“I have my reasons…” she stated, glancing behind her once again.  This wasn’t the first time she had glanced over her shoulder through their hurried walk… it seemed almost routine… and any time even the slightest sound was ushered through the trees; a scuttling animal, a bird taking wing, the rustling of bushes, leaves, or the snap of a single twig upon the ground, Anita seemed to jump, drawing herself closer to the Knight, pausing for a for moments to survey the area until she calmed and once again, she would be dragging the boy along beside her hurriedly through the trees…

“It matters not… please; I just need to get to the mountains…”

[ナイト] ➡          Indeed Link got the gesture but of course continued to wonder why she was acting so shady. Luckily a clue made itself apparent. Seeing that piece of jewelry engulfing her forearm caused him to glare at her. She was on the run because she had stolen this. Perhaps she had stolen many other things as well. That would definitely explain the cloak.

       Seeing her jump and get closer to him gave him a moment to recuperate. As a knight he was supposed to defend the land and uphold it’s law. He was a knight first.... Link didn’t want to say anything because he had come to reserve some spot in his heart for Anita. He had thought she was a fun, nice woman and wished to spend more time with her. But stealing? That was something he couldn’t tolerate nor allow to go on. ❝It does matter. In fact, I feel as though it matters the most in our encounter tonight.❞ After this statement Link began to actively pick up his pace to keep up with her.

         ❝That large bracelet around your arm......It’s stolen, is it not? Otherwise you and I wouldn’t be on the run.❞ His accusation finally came. He was more disappointed then angry. Stealing..... He knew little about Anita but he never expected something like this.

(kingdomofthemuses) Vadry sat upon a rock cleaning his sword the bodies of at least thirty monsters surrounding him. Next to him Asher was searching bodies for clues.

[ナイト] ➡          Vigilant eyes examined the bodies laid out around this duo. Link himself was capable of similar feats but this wasn’t a time for comparing. It would seem as though this scene was the only thing noteworthy on this large field. Should he approach the two in the center was the question. Should he ask about what transpired here? No….. you never approach any unknowns on the battlefield. Even if they looked friendly. 

He wasn’t going to lie he was impressed that two people managed to take out about thirty beasts together. Link came to a stop just outside the circle of bodies and said ❝Excuse me!❞ The knight made sure to project his voice so that he was heard.

“Well then you maybe of help to us, we track a group of Hobgoblins heading towards castle town, they have a object of great power with them.” Vadry said crossing his arms. From behind Asher a large white wolf as big as a horse walked up next to Vadry and nudged his hand. Vadry smiled and petted the wolf. “Ah sorry I forgot about you boy, Link this is Shade he is my dire wolf.” He said with a hint of pride.

[ナイト] ➡          Naturally Link was prepared to give his answer. Unfortunately that large creature forced him on his guard. This wolf....it was beyond large for a canine. It was even bigger then he was! Though Link didn’t reach for his sword seeing how friendly it was with Vadry. Despite initially being startled now Link wanted one..... ❝Dire wolf....? I have never met a wolf of this size before. Aside from size, what makes him different from other wolves?❞
