According to the United Nations FAO statistics, the total number of commercial fishermen and fish farmers is estimated to be 38 million. Fisheries and aquaculture provide direct and indirect employment to over 500 million people in developing countries. . K O N A R K S U N T E M P L E, also called  S U R Y A D E U L A, is a 13th-century CE Sun Temple at Konark about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northeast from Puri on the coastline of Odisha, India. The temple is attributed to king Narasimhadeva I of Eastern Ganga Dynasty about 1250 CE. . The temple complex is dedicated to the Hindu god Surya. It is currently a 100 feet (30 m) high chariot with immense wheels and horses, all carved from stone. . The structures and elements that have survived are famed for its intricate artwork, iconography and themes including the erotic Kama and mithuna scenes. . This temple was called "B L A C K P A G O D A" in European sailor accounts as early as 1676, because its great tower appeared black and served as a landmark for ships in the Bay of Bengal.

A  C A M E L  is an even-toed ungulate in the genus CAMELUS, bearing distinctive fatty deposits known as "humps" on its back. The three surviving species of camel are 1. The  D R O M E D A R Y, or one-humped camel, which inhabits the MIDDLE EAST and the HORN OF AFRICA 2. The B A C T R I A N, or two-humped camel, which inhabits CENTRAL ASIA 3. The critically endangered W I L D B A C T R I A N C A M E L that has limited populations in remote areas of NORTH-WEST CHINA and MONGOLIA. . Like the horse, before their extinction in their native land, camels spread across the Bering land bridge, moving the opposite direction from the Asian immigration to America, to survive in the Old World and eventually be domesticated and spread globally by humans. . Desert tribes and Mongolian nomads use camel hair for tents, yurts, clothing, bedding and accessories. . D A H I V A D A  is a popular snack in India. It is prepared by soaking vadas (fried flour balls) in thick dahi (yogurt). . Dahi Vada is also known as dahi baray in U R U DU dahi bhalla in P U N J A B I thayir vadai in T A M I L thairu vada in M A L A Y A L A M perugu vada in T E L U G U  mosaru vade in K A N N A D A dahi bara in O D I A. . The hot deep fried vadas are first put in water and then transferred to thick beaten yogurt. The vadas are soaked for a period of time before serving.

The  F L U T E  is a family of MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS in the woodwind group. Unlike woodwind instruments with reeds, a flute is an aerophone or reedless wind instrument that produces its sound from the flow of air across an opening. According to the instrument classification of  HORNBOSTEL - S A C H S, flutes are categorized as EDGE-BLOWN AEROPHONE. . A  M U S I C I A N  who plays the flute can be referred to as a flute player, flautist, flutist or, less commonly, fluter or flutenist. . Flutes are the EARLIEST EXTANT MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, as paleolithic instruments with hand-bored holes have been found. A number of flutes dating to about 43,000 to 35,000 years ago have been found in the S W A B I A N J U R A  region of present-day G E R M A N Y. . .

PIGEONS and DOVES constitute the bird family COLUMBIDAE and the order COLUMBIFORMES which include about 42 genera and 310 species. The related word “Columbine” refers to pigeons and DOVES. The pigeons and doves are stoutbodied birds with short necks and short slender bills, that in some species features freshly ceres. They primarily feed on seeds, fruits and plants. . In scientific and orthonogical practice “dove” tends to be used for “smaller species” and pigeon for “larger ones”. . Pigeon is a French word that derives from the LATIN PIPO for the “peeping” chicks while “dove” is a German word that refers to the birds diving flight.

Ratha Yatra or Ratha Jatra or Chariot festival is a Hindu festival associated with Lord Jagannath held at Puri in the state of Odisha, India. It is the oldest Ratha Yatra taking place in India and the world. . The three chariots of Balabhadra, Subhadra and Jagannatha are newly constructed every year with wood of specialised trees like phassi, dhausa, etc. . They are customarily bought from the ex-princely state of Dasapalla by a specialist team of carpenters who have hereditary rights and privileges for the same. The logs are traditionally set afloat as rafts in the river Mahanadi. These are collected near Puri and then transported by road.

RANI GUMPHA is the largest and most popular among the caves of Udayagiri and Khandagiri. The word "RANI" means Queen. Although it is not an architectural marvel, it has some ancient beautiful sculptures. . This cave is double storeyed. Each storey has three wings and the central wing is bigger among all the three wings. The lower floor has seven entrances in the middle wing whereas the upper floor has nine columns. . The upper floor of the central wing has relief images depicting the victory march of a king. Many of the cells have carved dwara pala images; some of them are disfigured.

The INDIA GATE (Originally called All India War Memorial), is a war memorial located astride the Rajpath, on the eastern of the 'ceremonial axis' of New Delhi, India, formerly called kimgsway. . 13,300 servicemen's names including soldiers and officers from the United Kingdom are inscribed on the gate. The India Gate, even though a war memorial, evokes the architectural style of the triumphal arch like the arch of Constantine, outside the Colosseum in Rome, and is often compared to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, and the Gateway of India in Mumbai. It was designed by Sir EDWINLUTYENS.

DIGAMBARA Temple is a Jain temple in Bhubaneswar, in the state of Odisha, India. The temple is on the top of KHANDAGIRI hill. This hill is honeycombed with a series of rock-cut Jaina caves, commissioned by King Kharavela in 1st century BCE. . The temple is maintained by Bengal, Bihar and Odisha Digambara Jaina Tirthankara committee. . The temple which faces east, is next to the Rushavanath temple in the south at a distance of 3.50 metres, a northern compound wall at a distance of 2.50 metres and a western compound wall at a distance of 11.50 metres.

UDAYAGIRI and KHANDAGIRI CAVES, formerly called KATAK CAVES or CUTTACK CAVES are partly natural or partly artificial of archeological, historical and religious importance near the city of Bhubaneswar in Odisha, India. . . These caves are situated on two adjacent hills, UDAYAGIRI and KHANDAGIRI, mentioned as KUMARI PARVAT in HATHIGHUMPA INSCRIPTION.

By the end of the 19th century, an indoor plumbing became the main source of drinking water, urban fountains became purely decorative. The Parliament of India is the supreme legislative body of the Republic of India. The Parliament is composed of the President of India and the houses. It is bicameral with two houses: the RAJYA SABHA (Council of States) and LOK SABHA (House of People). The President in his role as head of legislature has full powers to summon and prorogue either house of Parliament or to dissolve Lok Sabha. The President can exercise these powers only upon the advice of the Prime Minister and his Union Council of Ministers.

India gate is a memorial to 82000 soldiers of the undivided Indian army who died in the period of 1914 - 1921. . . Since 1971, after the Bangladesh liberation war, a flame has been burning under the India Gate. This eternal flame honors every unknown soldier who sacrificed his life in the war and is aptly named the AMAR JAWAN JYOTI (Flame of the immortal soldier)
