This is very random, but I wanted to say that your art means very much to me. You have such a distinct, interesting artstyle that's really refreshing and different from the typical anime guys, it's really similar to the "non-perfect charm" regular people have in real life. And your work on the backgrounds is very unique and beautiful too, it reminds me of some old cartoons a bit. I'm really looking forward to if you make more art! Also I'm really interested in your headcanons and thoughts about the characters of The Untamed, for example which one is your favourite. Wish you inspiration and energy and such things!

Oh my god, thank you so much for your kind words!!! I am well, and alive, and I have so many sketches and ideas for comics. Unfortunately I am also kind of a perfectionist, so it takes me unholy amouth of time to draw a single page.

When it comes to The Untamed I could talk forever about everything I love about this show. Which is pretty much everything except the characters.

I don't really get it when people argue about their blorbos. All the characters used to be innocent, but they sullied themselves when they faced difficult situations in adulthood. I got nostalgia baited by The Untamed, thinking it'll be some kind of lighthearted highschool comedy about teens going on an epic adventure to collect MacGuffins and save the world. I ended up with a bunch of broken people, criminals and murderers. Story that made me feel their anxiety, loneliness, all-encompassing sense of dread, and feeling like there is something fundamentaly wrong with the way the people of this world function.

Perhaps I got invested too much in the story.

So, my favorite character prior to ep 10: pretty much everyone, especially Meng Yao and Wei Wuxian

My favorite character after finishing ep 50: no one. Or maybe Nie Huaisang. Not as a character, but as an embodyment of childhood innocence (he literally triggers Wei Wuxian's flashback of the Cloud Recesses study arc, personaly my favorite scene in the whole series). At this moment we don't really know him as a person, but we are fond of the memory of their bygone friendship.

Jedna, dvě, tři, my jsme bratři. Aneb alegorie na Lan Si-čchena po válce přesvědčujícího Nie Ming-ťueho a Meng Jaa, aby uzavřeli bratrství.

Zároveň vyjadřuji respekt tvůrcům na Pixivu, アカマキ, 林田, ale především těm, kteří nemusí vždycky nějak úžasně kreslit, ale rozumí kompozici a dovedou dělat zábavné komiksy. Ti jsou důvodem, proč se ještě stále o komiks pokouším navzdory tomu, jak vyčerpávající to může být.

Také dotaz na znalce, existuje nějaký standardní český překlad těch čínských oslovení? Nebo alespoň nějaká ideální střední cesta, která by nebyla po vzoru ,,Přesně podle kejkaku.", ani po vzoru jistých titulků k tomuto seriálu, v nichž mladší sourozenci oslovují ty starší jejich vlastními jmény?

My friend recommended Word of Honor to me. So while watching I drew them my impression of Wen Kexing. Then I realized it could be used as a New Year card if we pretend these are not dynamite but fireworks.

Utena Hiiragi from Gushing Over Magical Girls

Yes. I watched that magical girl anime. I could have watched something by Vláčil instead of this, but I haven't. However, I really like the main heroine, and her design.

The anime was quite okay, I survived weirder things. For now I kinda miss it, but I also think I will forget about the whole series pretty soon.

Also I don't draw anime faces very often. It was strange.

I'd like to point out this highly relatable Nie Huaisang moment from ep 8 (uh damn it, it was scaled down for the dashboard. I am afraid I will have to ask you to click on it.

Also I feel like I am gradually loosing ability to write in english. I forgot how to use all those strange english tenses.)

Hrdinové se vypravili na klišé dobrodružnou výpravu, aby posbírali všechny kameny moci dřív, než se dostanou do spárů zlotřilého klanu Wen. Při svém hledání však narazili na nepřekonatelné překážky, kterými jsou okamžitá ztráta odhodlání, hrozná komunikace a rodiče, kteří se po nich již shánějí. Hrdinská výprava kvintánů končí jako většina zájmových skupinových projektů a klan Wen mezitím posbírá kameny moci a vybuduje si armádu nemrtvých. Dobrá práce, týme.

Kraťoučký a nehorázně zbytečný vedlejší příběh. Byly tam ale roztomilé interakce.

Také je mi zde Nie Chuaj-sang nehorázně sympatický. Jde s kamarády na procházku, ale pak netrefí zpátky a potřebuje, aby ho nasměrovali na nejbližší tramvaj. Tímto se omlouvám všem starým přátelům ze školy.

,,Nechcete se mrknout k nám do Nečistého kraje? Je tam krásně. Máme sušenky. (prosím, nenechávejte mě uprostřed pustin)"

Ah yes, my favorite scene dedicated specifically to the main heroes bullying Nie Huaisang, the failure of a clan leader. A person making a laughingstock out of himself to save his own life. And this rough interrogation was followed by one of the most beautiful moments in the entire series and I love it.

Also I was waiting too long for drawing adult Nie Huaisang drowning in his oversized robes, so it's finally here.

Also the detail with him permanently sweating during these episodes is kinda funny.

A terrible story deserves a terrible ending. I was never sadder seeing a character mature. I just wish for everyone to stop killing each other and go growing cabbage or something.
