A prayer and affirmation I wrote 11/4/2025
In response to to a prayer i wrote in April concering the KFC murders of 1983
My child, I have heard you.
I have seen every tear that has fallen in silence.
I know the weight carried by those who wake each day with unanswered questions.
Nothing has escaped My sight.
What was taken unjustly matters to Me.
What was hidden from the world is not hidden from Me.
Justice is not lost in My keeping.
I do not erase the pain, but I walk with them through it.
I give strength where hearts are weary
and peace where grief still speaks loudly.
The forgotten are remembered by Me.
The unknown is known to Me.
And in time, truth will rise.
Hold fast.
I am near.
I am just.
And I will not fail them.
—The Lord
There is a quiet freedom in remembering this:
I’m not called to mirror other believers. I’m called to mirror Christ.
Not the Christ shaped by culture or expectations—
but the Christ who sat with the hurting,
who lifted the outcasts,
who broke rules for the sake of love,
who saw every soul as worthy of compassion.
When I compare myself to other Christians, I lose sight of the One who first called my name.
But when I look to Christ, I’m reminded of the path I want to walk—
the path of gentleness, mercy, truth, courage, and radical compassion.
A path where love is the measure.
Where grace is the language.
Where light is the offering.
I don’t want to be known for how closely I resemble a group.
I want to be known for how closely I resemble Christ’s heart.
May my words reflect His tenderness.
May my actions reflect His healing.
And may my life, imperfect as it is, still carry His light into the places that need it most.
My latest project.
Prayer and affirmation.
QUICK PRAYER: Dear God, if this is meant for me, bless it. If it’s not, block it. I trust You. Amen.
O Mystery,
there are seeds in the dark earth
I do not understand.
Year after year I watch and wait,
wondering what roots take hold,
what unseen sprout reaches upward
in silence.
If the seed is of love,
let it rise in beauty.
If the seed is of harm,
let me turn the soil and plant anew.
Teach me patience with hidden seasons,
courage to face uncertain harvests,
and wisdom to sow only what brings life.
May the strange seed of my being
grow toward light,
whatever the season,
whatever the soil.
Amen.
Prayer for 8/23/2025
"Dear God,
Fill my heart with love,
My soul with light,
My mind with peace.
In Jesus name Amen”
Matthew 5:14-16 - 'Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.'
Liturgy of the Living Tribunal
(For the Circle of Seekers in the Court of Conscience)
Leader:
Here we gather, separate seekers,
Making trial of our beliefs before the chords of our convictions.
All:
We come as ambassadors of involvement,
Conferring with other judges on Mercy and Justice,
To learn from the juries their deliberations.
Leader:
Let the silence be reverent—
For here, every story is testimony,
And every soul is sworn in truth.
All:
We do not gather to condemn,
But to understand.
We do not speak to overpower,
But to listen and be changed.
Leader:
Mercy is not the absence of justice.
Justice is not the denial of mercy.
They are siblings—
Born of the same divine breath.
All:
Let Mercy soften the sharp edge of our decisions.
Let Justice anchor the wind of our compassion.
Leader:
In this sacred chamber,
Let no heart be exiled,
No burden ignored.
All:
We speak with the honesty of wounds.
We listen with the patience of saints.
We deliberate with the humility of dust.
Leader:
Here, we do not ask: Who is worthy?
But: Who is willing to love?
All:
So may our judgments bear the weight of grace.
So may our mercy carry the strength of truth.
So may we walk away,
Not as victors—
But as vessels.
