If Patty had done some research, she would have found out that TEWSF was released last week in limited theaters and will have a wider release in the UK soon. So those numbers are very preliminary.

TEWSF is a small independent movie, it was never going to make hundreds of millions in its first week.

Also, someone needs to tell Patty how movie productions company work. If a movie doesn't make enough to cover its cost, producers don't end up paying from their pockets. The BBC is a co-producer, they're not going to ask for their money back. Especially since they'll likely have streaming rights in the UK.

Productions company cut their losses with others more successful projects. Sunny March isn't going to go bankrupt if TEWSF under performs. No matter how much the sQeptics hope it does.
