Young girls with strong magic and the will of the good thrumming through their veins. Healers, or white witches, use their powers with the best of intentions. Herbs, potions, and remedies litter their desks and clutter their shelves. They spend their days tending their herb gardens, crafting flower crowns imbued with kind thoughts, brewing love potions and pain stoppers, and piecing jewelry to bring luck. There is no room for darkness in their hearts, only love and happiness.

Modern Mythology: Vampires

In European folklore, the vampire is a creature that rises from their grave and feeds off the life essence of others, most notably in the form of blood, draining their victims of every drop. For centuries there have been many superstitions about the vampire myth; that’s the way they want it to be. There was a time when vampires were feared, now anonymity and secrecy rule their lives. They live in constant change; always moving from one place to another, always choosing that tiny apartment in the big city; easy to lure people in and easier to sneak away if they get caught. Forgery is a skill and a necessity. Every single night is a hunt out on the streets and every morning there’s a new body lying face down in an alleyway.
