Fear of falling alone!
An Imaginary story
She was intelligent, beautiful and madly in love with her long time love, now her husband . The daily hectic schedule and the juggle between work and office never made her tiered as she was too excited to go back to her sweet castle and spend some “we” time with her husband every evening.
As she reached and opened the door to her castle, she realized “he” was missing. Alas! She forgot his best friend has come over and they must have gone ahead for a party. How silly of her! She continues with her work. Starts picking up things as she walked along the empty castle. She was alone so no need of cooking as “She” never felt the need of treating herself so special. She made a cup of coffee and lied down on the couch in the drawing room. She dialed the his number.. rings and then no response. She decided “I won’t call him again ,he never responds”.15 minutes later dials again .It was a luck day, He replied to her call “I am busy” and hangs up!. Something pinched in her heart .. oh it was a known feeling ,nothing to worry about.
She recalls the days when they met 8 years ago in college. The beautiful long drives and endless conversations. She smiles and comes back to her senses as she realizes her coffee is over.
It has been 5 long years of their marriage and she had everything that someone wanted to be happy with, a lavish comfortable castle and great career there was nothing else she could ask for she though stating at her empty castle. She scrolls through her social media page , looking at her friends’ get together picture whom she hasn’t met for years. It was a college get together and this year she was determined to attend it but they had a movie plan together after all he rarely gets time to spend with her so the choice was obvious. She regretted missing this party as he got busy and could not come for the movie that day. She should not have fought for such a small thing like a movie with him and create such a tense environment around. She scrolls the page and looks at her beautiful family picture, tries to recall when was the last time she went to her home. No he never stopped her from going and would never ask her to come back in a day or two. She remembers the last time she went ,she stayed over for a month and he was ok with that .he never asked her to come back ,it was her who decided to come back .He could not call here those days as the work schedule was too tight and he didn’t get even a single second to call her. She could go anytime she wanted , he didn’t care. No don’t get him wrong, he just wanted her to be free.
It’s her who never wanted to go cause every time she was away she felt he was drawn away from her. So she decided the visit to her home wasn’t required.
She looked at the clock and realized it was mid night again like every other weekend and she was still alone.
Drop of tears rolled down her face she kept on crying till 4 am in the morning. She walks out of her castle to take a breath of fresh air. The first beam of sunlight brought her tears to rest. As a rush of fresh air brushed across her face she felt free! The reflection of sunlight shines to her face so calm and confidant.
She walks back to her castle,packs her bag and leaves for a new journey. She was prepared for the best and the worst! After all she has won over her biggest fear of “falling Alone” in life!
