I made my first whey soda (with globe grapes, in case anybody is interested ☺️) following the instructions of Kōbo Fermentery and it is delicious. We ordered food for my parents' anniversary but the food guy didn't show up 😢 We managed to put together a lunch but I was a bit sad about the no dessert. So mug cake to the rescue. I made a chocolate fudge cake and served scoops of it in bowls, added some Kahlua, and topped it with whipped cream, Hershey's chocolate syrup and Godiva dark chocolate pearls. Shown here is the variation I made for myself - I alternated layers of the batter with banana slices, and added the same toppings as above. 🥰👍🏻 Things I have learnt from this - Mug cake solves all problems 😁 and always keep whipping cream in stock. We visited China Bistro a while back and were given these delumptious amuse-bouches made of a bubble of yoghurt in a lemongrass, scallion, vinegar dressing (at least those were the flavours I tasted). It was so good I could have done with a couple hundred more.
