Food parks seriously are taking over the food industry, at least in the great metro. They are just everywhere. From North to South, they are the talk of the town, specifically of the millennials and the young adults. And they just seem to keep on sprouting here and there, every day.
It has been one of the significant hypes of 2017 and I must admit, I was affected, or should I say, infected by it. Especially now that it pops out everywhere, I won’t allow myself to not experience it even just for once. So I decided to include one of the most popular and hyped food park in my bucket list for my 21st year of (dreadful) existence.
In April, I was having a mini vacation in Tagaytay, where two of my bucket list were located — the drive-in cinema and a famous food park. Luckily, my cousin’s home is just a few minute-drive away from South StrEat Gourmand Container Park.
It is quite unique among its franchise since it is the only StrEat food park to have container vans as the main stores. There are about 13 (or more!) food stalls to choose from that surely satisfy all sorts of your tastebuds’ cravings. From Filipino to Greek to Korean to Mexican to Japanese, from seafood to burgers to snacks to desserts to drinks, everything is there! In our case, we only had a (fish)bowl of lemonade, takoyaki, burger, dynamite, and ramen. They were pretty good and we’re actually glad we got our money’s worth. Some food stalls sell hella expensive food so we just chose to have them for next time instead.

Another interesting bit about this food park is that they have guest live performers every weekend. I’m not sure if all food parks give artists a chance to perform, but I think it was such a great idea for them to allow local artists showcase their talent once in a while. It also gives them good publicity, I guess, to promote their business. Win-win situation, really. That certain night, it was Fiasco Project who performed, and sadly we were not able to watch and listen to the other performers because we had to go home.

All in all, another fun experience for me! The food was great, the music was great, the company was great. I’m certainly happy about this one getting checked off the list! It’s not always you find people who are willing to do things and go places with you, especially when it’s only for your own interest. Lol!
