I wanted to go to sleep, but now I'm irritated. This whole situation with Chappell Roan just doesn't make sense. None of you have seen any evidence that she personally ordered a security guard to approach and scold that girl. First, there was a post from someone who wasn't even there when the events happened. Then Chappell posted a response saying she didn't sic anyone on a kid (mind you don't say anything about her pupils idgaf). Then the girl's mother recorded a video that was basically just retelling the already stated events, adding, "Well, I think it was her security guard; I didn't see and I don't know for sure, but that's what it seems like to me," periodically throughout her monologue. And honestly, this situation isn't even serious enough to be this mad about. You're all acting like she killed the girl
But then a video appears of Chappell walking through the airport, getting 1.5 million likes, and I'm just furious. Isn't it obvious that the situations are completely different, if for no other reason than the fact that she's actually being filmed in this one? Whether it's a paparazzi or a fan, what difference does it make? Yes, it's true that when a person becomes famous, they should expect increased attention, but I genuinely don't understand why you think it's also her duty to put up with it and not try to stop what she considers unreasonable behavior. I find it insane that people are siding with the paparazzi (l'm also talking about other situations here, not just the one at the airport). And if it's Chappell's job to tolerate it, then let me remind you that paparazzi should also be prepared for negative reactions to their crazy behavior because—oh wow!—that's their job! And in my understanding, that's a much more aggressive job than what Chappell did. I'd be willing to admit I'm wrong in some way if I saw even one reasonable piece of evidence
I'm not even her fan and I don't listen to her music at all, but people are truly insane
!!! I love your art style so much!!
