Iâve had a couple of questions about how I make aliens and specifically how I make alien-sim hybrids such as Jill Smith from my Strangetown save, as there is no option to create aliens in CAS in TS3 like there is in TS4
I thought Iâd make a full tutorial on how I create them, as the process can be complicated to figure out if youâre not familiar with NRAAS mods
This tutorial is accessible for complete beginners, Iâll take you step-by-step through everything so donât worry if youâve never used NRAAS before!
Disclaimer: this is probably not to only way to create aliens, this is just the method Iâve settled on after a lot of trial and error :) - also aliens came with the seasons expansion so you will need that EP to play with them
Fixing up Pounawea's community lots, and had fun, until I had to stop a few times to figure out why a piece of CC I installed refused to show up. Turns out the object category flags weren't done properly.
Hej vänner! Welcome to Yorkshire, where you'll find one of Northumbria's biggest trading ports, plenty of farms ready for the taking and, if you're lucky, perhaps you'll get to meet a member from the original Great Heathen Army. However, if you're a Saxon or have some sort of quarrel with Northern folk, then we recommend you turn around and walk away before you're spotted by a Ragnarsson. If you're still reading this then it means you're not a foe so please, make yourself at home! Drink some mead at the tavern, enjoy a fight at the old Roman Colisseum or invade a neighboring farm to settle in! Warning: the King takes no responsibility of any robbery, killing or kidnapping you may experience when walking near the old watch tower.
>Okay so first things first: 1) this is a CC heavy world, it works fine for me and most of the cc are tsm conversions but low poly cc is still cc. 2) I am *not* going to link the cc used in each building, but I included some of the lots in .sims3pack format so you can get all the required cc from them (you don't need to place the lots, but I recommend downloading them if only to get the cc objects and patterns), though I did include the walls I used in the city. 3) all lots are mostly shells! I'm going to share updates of them if I actually decorate them, but otherwise feel free to furnish them!
>All relevant information is under the cut + some notes about the lots.
>DOWNLOAD< (always free on patreon)
General Information;
-This is a big world and if you download it you will notice it has a familiar shape aka this is literally an emptied and greener Al Simhara :p
-I have all dlcs, but I think you should be good if you only have World Adventures and Supernatural (for a tree lol). I also used some items from Monte Vista (the ampitheatre) and Dragon Valley (the ruins, the well of wisdom, most of the tombstones, the dragon shaped roof decor, the "lofty roof lantern" and the ornate door) but I got them all from blamseastore!
-I also included a save file, which doesn't add much to the save but some of the lots were added or edited after I installed the world in my game so I recommend you download it as it solves some issues with missing content/has all the proper Nrass Settings!
-This world is currently on beta because I want to build some more lots and hopefully finish it: this means half of it is pretty empty and maybe not so functional, but I think it's great to take pictures!
-As mentioned above, the lots are mostly empty. The only sort of functional lot is SkĂĽrr's Witch Hut, but the rest are empty or decorated but not made functional. / Do feel free to change or furnish any lot, though! Some lots have little stories related to my sims as I built them thinking of them, but obviously you can forge your own story (;
About the lots;
-JorvĂk's Stave Church: Built as a place where your sims can worship the Gods, though I decided to place a shell rug so it also works as a city hall/military/police station.
-Jorvik Castle: A not very historically accurate "roman" castle, I meant to furnish it many times but I get lazy just looking at all the rooms lol The church is decorated as a throne room for the King (who in my save's lore is a Viking, hence the decoration) and it also has a functional kitchen!
-Ravensburg Longhouse & Market: The longhouse is a residential lot which includes the actual longhouse, a few tiny huts on the side and a small graveyard. / The market is set as a small market mainly so sims can easily go through it to reach Ravensburg, but it has a bunch of little huts which can be your sim's new home.
-Ragnar Lothbrok's Tomb: An actual tomb! There's not much to be done in it and naturally it contains a mummy which I couldn't customize but that lowkey fits the lore for that place (aka that actual Ragnar is not buried there because he's not dead), you can at least get a few gold coins from there hehe
I've wanted kayaks in game ever since I started working on Tørsvall, and when TS4 included it with Adventure Awaits, I could finally make it happen! (I'm definitely not an animator lol)
This is a new boat type for a single sim. It's fully functional with custom converted animations. It currently has no fishing interactions, but I'll probably convert those animations and include them in the future. There's an adult and smaller child version.
KNOWN ISSUES
Âť The "Boat Here With" interaction on the kayak object is still there, despite specifically removing it in the code... when you click it, the sim will end up using the water taxi or another multi-occcupancy boat.
Âť Idle/Paddling animations continue for a few seconds before transitioning to the next state.
Âť The transparency on the adult kayak looks kinda bad, but I can't seem to make it look better, sorry!
Do you use the NRaas mods? Has the information on the NRaas website and forum ever been useful to you? If so, a moment of your time please!
Iâd like to share the current situation with Simblr â which you can also read about directly from the site owner here:
https://www.nraas.net/community/topic15428
While it seemed like we were entering an era of old-internet revival and indie websites in the fight against the dead-internet, a significant road block has emerged. Prices have inflated drastically for server parts, memory, storage, and server-hosting itself. This puts all non-profit online communities in peril.
As a result, the site owner has opened a Patreon so that the community can help cover the costs of keeping us online.
Important clarification:
The NRaas mods are NEVER going to be paywalled.
The project will remain open-source and free for everyone. Donations are optional.
These mods are still in active development!
The site and mods have been maintained by Chain_Reaction since Twallan's retirement, providing countless updates and support. Lots of cool stuff over there if you haven't updated in a hot minute.
There is no pressure to donate if your situation does not allow for it. Thank you for the consideration!
Long post ahead with information on the situation and some incentives for reaching membership goals.
If you've had some trouble accessing the site over the past week or so:
The situation is directly caused by the greed and encroachment of something weâre all uncomfortably familiar with: AI companies and the companies investing in them (of simmer relevance, that includes EA and Krafton (InZoi)).
NRaas is not the first nor will it be the last to be affected. Website servers already suffer from bots trawling and scraping their content â including your content that you write and share just about anywhere. Now theyâre being bought off entirely.
Archives and file-hosting are at high risk. Myrient is a recent example of an archive that went offline for this very reason.
It can feel a bit grim, but I want to assure you that the burden isn't yours to bear as an individual. As a community, it's actually quite easy to become hostile - and more important, unprofitable - to these invasive species as it were.
The past 26 years of modding and storytelling was OVERWHELMINGLY built upon free software, non-profit websites, and shared resources. A few unscrupulous paywallers and corporate greed isn't going to rewrite that history. Greed is the minority - but it does try to eat everything in its path.
That's all I ask - if you enjoy the fruits of The Sims community or enjoy being a part of it, make it just a little more inconvenient to swallow us.
Do not tolerate GenAI in our community spaces.
Do not support EA or Krafton. Let obscurity and irrelevancy devour them.
Do participate in the community wherever you think you'd find a little piece of purpose - make a blog for your stories, come chat with us in the Chatterbox forum at NRaas, make your first mod.
Lastly:
In a separate post, I'll be posting some CC incentives that will be released as milestones are reached. This content will not be paywalled - it will be posted for free as thanks to the community.
This is being offered on my own accord and is not the official reward for any particular tier. None of the proceeds are going to me!
Please look out for that over the weekend, I still need to take all of the preview screenshots which is perhaps the least exciting part of making CC.
And thank you, on behalf of the volunteers at NRaas.

These have been "in the works" for ages because I wanted to avoid the issue of the 1-tile desk being unroutable if the sides are blocked off by walls or fences (objects are fine), but I wasn't able to make sense of it. If I ever do, in the future, I'll remake these.
â ď¸ For the 1-tile desk: avoid placing a fence or wall on both sides of the desk, otherwise the desk will be inaccessible. Placing objects is fine from what I've tested.
If you happened to download the versions before this post went up, it would be better to redownload â I don't remember what edits I made to those versions, but from looking at the old preview pics, the new versions have new presets, smaller textures and better placed (IMO) slots.
You can find these under the Desks category, for $80 and $216. You can place them next to each other without gaps. Both have a polycount of 52, with 2 channels and 3 presets.
If youâve ever used the Sims 4 Tray Importer, youâre going to love this tool for The Sims 3!
It was created to make life easier for players who use custom content (CC) and want to keep everything organized or to share fully CC-included Sims in a quick and practical way!
(The first version was ready in October ffrom last year and I'm publishing it now lol)
đŽ What does this tool do?
â Automatically copies all .package custom content used by a Sim, Household or Lot into a specific folder.
â Includes an option to compress the folder for easier sharing or storage.
â Works with both individual Sims and full Households (or Lots).
â Can also help you identify which .package files you no longer want in your game.
đFeatures:
â It copies the folder structure from your Mods folder, including only the necessary files, keeping the CCs organized.
â Compatible with three languages: Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
(If your system language is not one of these, the tool will default to English.)
P.s.: If youâd like your language included, just send me all the toolâs text already translated, and Iâll add it.
â Important â Please read before using!
đš Windows only, sorry. :(
đš You must use only .package files when creating your Sim or building your Lot.
đš You must convert the .sims3pack content exported from the game to .package format before scanning the custom content it uses.
đš If your converted .sims3pack files were separated into multiple packages, you need to merge those packages again to make it easier for the tool to correctly find and gather all custom content (or you select one by one to verify).
đš Right now, I'm also working on adding support for reading Sims3Pack files directly, which should make the process even easier in the future.
This ensures the tool can properly detect every file being used.
đ Credits and Thanks
Special thanks to Peter Jones for S3PI (package reading library), and to Kitilith for the idea and basis of their Find Merged CC tool used in this project (credits will be included with the readme file as requested on their GitHub).
Iâd also like to thank Ash (@cowplantcartel) for testing this tool in every build. đ

Can I mention just how much I love the Sims 3 community?! This game has been out for well over a decade, and so many awesome peeps are still developing new tools and resources, converting and creating new cc .... love this! <3
A semi-conversion from TS2, where the "Mags' Door" from the basegame is edited using stencils from TS2's "'Chiclettina Mauritania' Glass Beveled Door".
The door mesh was simply cloned and edited the presets to show the original TS2 stencils. This is not a default replacement, so other default edits on the same door will not conflict. And this is only a texture edit, so the polycount should stay intact (hLOD: 576, mLOD: 184).
Three presets and four channels, costs §277. Found in Build mode > Doors. Price, catalog name and description are copied from the TS2 original.
Nuking everyone's Custom Content on the same day they're asking you to start paying for Marketplace CC is probably the funniest thing EA has ever done.
