- “I’m the orphan kid who was taken in by a knight and you’re the heir to the throne. We’ve grown up together and I’ve known I’m in love with you for a while but I could never do anything about it. Now your parents want you to find a suitable bride/groom and have summoned several suitors for you to pick from. Of course, as your oldest friend and confidant, I’ll be helping you make that choice even if it pains me.”

- “You’re the beloved prince/ss and I’m a thief who has notoriously been stealing from the royal family. A necklace here, a golden chest plate there… Then selling it all at the highest bidder. It doesn’t look good for your family, so you take it upon yourself to find this thief. Turns out I have been purposefully been targeting your family in the hopes of attracting your attention because I think you’re just so cute and innocent and I’m dying to drive you mad. Ideally by seducing you.”

“Soulmate-ish AU where soulmates are not based on feelings, they’re just someone who’s bound to be in your life. People find out who their soulmates are, because once they meet, they keep running into each other. Even when they don’t mean to. Even if they’re actively trying not to see that person again.

Obviously you can’t tell at first sight who’s your soulmate. You’ll only find out after that second cringeworthy bad date, when you bump awkwardly at the grocery store, then three more times that week in different fucking coffee shops.

We keep trying harder and harder to avoid each other, but we just keep meeting in the most ridiculous ways. Your mail keeps magically being redirected to your adress and vice versa. We go to a concert/game, and our seats are literally next to each other. Banged your head at the gym and passed out? Ended up at the hospital where I work during my shift at the ER and was assigned to me.

One day, we decide to unite forces to come up with a plan to fight this bullshit soulmate thing, but somewhere along the way I forget why I was so adamant about not ever seeing you again, but I just keep trying by force of habit at this point.”
