What’s up with my mind and making genshin way more horrifying and weird than it normally is
Seriously archons (except the fully human mavuika) are openly inhuman. Embodiment of nature and concepts. Created by a greater creature only few seem to understand
Even those pretending to be human or have become human can’t escape the traits they were born with. Eyes too wide, teeth too sharp, finger still a bit webbed.
Humans can notice that something is slightly wrong but they can put their finger on it.
The Divine is somehow a comforting force so close and human while also being something so vague and cosmic. The older they grow the more untamed they get, aging like forgotten forest. Being more twisted and warped until their humanity is completely unrecognizable.
Above the world looms a castle in the sky. No human has ever been inside and if they have, they have never left. The structure is gigantic, stretching on for miles. Despite that it seems completely abandoned, no one has anything seen anything in it.
The earth is built on corpses. Of people, of cultures, of kingdoms. Their corpses are scattered around everywhere. Bones litter the earth, decaying castles sway with the breeze, the writing of people long gone are carved into stone.
The moon itself is a corpse, a corpse created from a tragedy. And every night everyone looks soon this corpse. It’s left up, as a way to remember…as a way to warn?
The soil is covered in blood, centuries worth of it. Thousand year wars between gods, the destruction of civilizations, human sacrifices from multiple different cultures, meaningless murders between friends/families/and strangers, and other events.
Every breath you take in this world comes from someone’s last. The sounds you hear are the echo of something’s death rattle. Every speak of life only exists because of something else death. This world requires this suffering to survive.
The scars from this world history is hidden in plain site for only the curious eye to see. Found within rusted weapons battered from use, books pages worn from other thousands of others before you, and encoded in simple artifacts that speak of horrifying tales.
This world hides its horror behind a thin veil, it displays it in plain sight, its evils hidden behind a saccharine smile. Once you learn its truth nothing will ever be the same.
Death, inhumanity, and tragedy are themes and ideas I can’t get out of my head when thinking about this stupid (/aff) gacha game
