every so often i remember how awesome the modern interconnected multicultural world is. i grew up getting to hear fairy tales from all over the world. africa, asia, europe, america. everywhere in between. i can have bagels for breakfast, curry for lunch, and ramen for dinner without even leaving the city limits. music and art and philosophy and technology that originated thousands of miles and years apart from eachother have come together and interwoven into something greater than the sum of its parts. its hard not fall into despair when thinking about the horrors but god. god the wonders.
Look at my birthday cake...
ID: a photo of a chocolate cake decorated with flowers and vines, with a unicorn inside a fence (made of pretzel sticks) as the topper. The other photo is the tapestry that inspired it, "Unicorn in Captivity" depicting a collared unicorn resting inside a small paddock in a lush garden.

Untitled (Rainbow), 2012, Peter Coffin, found photographs. Art Gallery of New South Wales.
Over the course of several years, Peter Coffin collected four-by-six inch photographs of rainbows from junk stores, estate sales, and drugstore photo counters, and combined them, connecting the rainbows arch to arch into this large spiral.
wish online communities discussing autism in women weren't like, doing their best to contribute to the false perception there's a distinct Autism For Boys and Autism For Girls, when the whole time it's just social enforcement of gender roles influencing behavior
