Hereās a starter post for some of you new lifting babies. We love you and we want you to be safe!

Some of the lingo we use:
LP ~ Loss prevention. These are the people that are watching to see if you take something.
SA ~ Sales/Store attendant
CS - Customer service. If an SA is all up on you, constantly asking questions, or offering to help, theyāre CSing you. They may be suspicious of you. Proceed with extreme caution while lifting.
Blind spot ~ Somewhere that a camera cannot see you
Conceal ~ The act of hiding your lifted items, whether that be in your pocket, on your body, or in your bag
Lift ~ Pretty obvious š
Antis/Anti Lifters ~ People that have nothing better to do with their time except threaten you and try to make you feel bad for what youāre doing.
Booster bag/container ~ Something lined with foil to block towers from sensing security tags
RFID ~ Very sticky square or rectangle sticker found on item boxes, inside price tags, or sewn into clothing tags. Usually easily removed, but may be noisy.
Hook/magnet(s) ~ Items used for removing different security tags from clothing. If you donāt lift clothing, you wonāt need to necessarily worry about these.

General info about the community!
ā¢If you want an extra sense of security, always use a VPN while browsing on your devices.
ā¢Please remember to remove all EXIF data if you post a picture of any sort.
ā¢DO NOT ARGUE WITH ANTI LIFTERS. It just fuels their fire and thatās what they want. Donāt give them your time. They arenāt going to hurt you, theyāre wanting to emotionally manipulate you.
ā¢Donāt give out information such as your age, your specific location, or your full name. Do not give out other social media accounts unless you trust someone.
ā¢Be careful reblogging things from outside of this community. We want to be safe here, not give the Antis a reason to attack. It happens accidentally sometimes and we understand that.
ā¢Donāt be rude to any other members of this community; even if theyāre rude to you first. If you donāt agree with something, just keep scrolling.
ā¢Donāt forget that we are indeed criminals. We can/will get caught eventually. Know this risk every time you go out and lift.
ā¢If a post has 1,000+ notes on it about lifting tips, take it with a grain of salt. Lots of those posts are outdated and the information is no longer valid. Please ask one of us if we have any updated tips.
ā¢Getting away with a few hauls will give you a false sense of security. Just because you got away this time absolutely does not guarantee that you will the next time. You can be caught at any minute.

Store tips!
Some of these were taken from other blogs, so I want to give any and all credit to them! These tips are tried and true to a lot of us, and they may very well be beneficial to you.
ā¢Please know that a lot of stores will be able to detect if you walk in with a powerful magnet.
ā¢Someone had posted that they keep their small neodymium magnets inside of a pen with the ink cartridge removed. If someone sees inside your bag, theyāll see a pen. Not magnets.
ā¢If you are caught with hooks/magnets/booster bags or containers, your punishment will be a lot worse. Having these objects shows theft with intent.
ā¢Do not lift with someone new. You never know how theyāll react. They might be loud and very suspicious, and the last thing you want is any extra attention given to you while youāre lifting.
ā¢If you happen to be caught, in a way, youāre lucky if youāre a minor. Lifting charges will be expunged from your record when you become a legal adult. Donāt be stupid just because of that though. You may get off with a warning, or you may be given community service.
ā¢Donāt look right up at cameras. Take a drink out of a water bottle to look up at the ceiling, or look with your eyes.
ā¢Donāt reach for things with both hands unless itās a big item.
ā¢Scope out a store and look online for job openings for that store. If theyāre needing managers/LP/SA, it may be a good time to lift from that particular store.
ā¢If youāre lifting a mall, PLEASE remember to change up your appearance every so often to avoid suspicion. For example, go into the mall with a ponytail, and before you visit another store, put up a bun. Change up your makeup in a bathroom stall. Hell, make your eyebrows a different color with an eyebrow pencil.
ā¢On the mall subject, if youāve driven yourself- if youāre lifting multiple stores and you need to dump your bag or drop off bags with lifted merchandise, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING HOLY, CONCEAL. IN. YOUR. TRUNK. If a cop happens to walk by and see your twelve lifted Naked or Peach palettes laying in the front seat and it looks sus, he CAN search your vehicle because he has reason to believe that somethingās up. Two sisters in Michigan got caught and sentenced to jail time because they dumped their clothes in the backseat and they were full of security tags. But if you put your things in the trunk, thereās no way anyone could see OR suspect anything. Youāre just another customer parked outside.
ā¢DO NOT enter and leave the mall multiple times. Extremely sus.
ā¢9/10 times if you get away from a store, youāre safe and they wonāt bother doing anything. They may take down your car tags if youāre close enough, so Park as far away as you can. However, please donāt be naive and go back to the same store repeatedly because you WILL eventually get recognized and caught.
ā¢Be respectful to the employees. Theyāre just doing their job.
ā¢Donāt be overly talkative.
ā¢If you need to test to see if an item will set off the security towers, put your phone to your ear and pretend to be talking to mom or a friend. While holding the item in your other hand, stick your head out the door like youāre looking for them. āNo mom, I donāt see you, but Iāll be out soon and Iāll meet you at (blah blah store/blah blah food court restaurant) in a few!ā. Now you know if you need to look for a tag/RFID.
ā¢Be vigilant of all people around you. Children, adults, elderly men and women- you never know. Little Sally may tell her mama that she saw you stealing. The hot guy in the next aisle could very well be LP. The gentle old man might snitch if he sees you concealing on the floor.
ā¢Which brings me to my next point- DO NOT CONCEAL IN FRONT OF ANYONE UNLESS ITāS YOUR LIFTING PARTNER. Just donāt do it.
ā¢Donāt be cocky or greedy. Know your game plan. Know your blind spots. Get what you need/want the most and come back on another day to get the rest. Preferably a couple of months later. Donāt be cocky and steal just because you know you can, because karma will bite your ass. Be smart about it. We ARE criminals, and if youāre caught, you will be treated as such.
ā¢Be confident. Go in and act like youāre actually shopping. If you get sweaty and nervous, take a few moments to regroup yourself. You donāt have to do anything you donāt want to do. If you change your mind, you can always dump and leave. Donāt let it discourage you, we all have off days.
ā¢Donāt fidget with things for too long. Conceal as soon as you can in your blind spot.
ā¢Donāt feel like you need to have a $800 haul because someone else had one. You lift what youāre comfortable with, whether it be a $1 chapstick or a $500 iPad.
ā¢Donāt lift a store that youāre not familiar with the layout of. Someone had posted to look on IG/Facebook with tagged photos of people in the store(s) you want to lift. You may see blind spot opportunities or camera placement. DO YOUR RESEARCH.
