Deviantart doesn’t own the content you post, and neither does Pornhub. The policy you are referring to is an industry standard on every piece of social media out there.
Taken from the Pornhub TOS:
“For clarity, you retain all of your ownership rights in your Content. However, by submitting Content to the Websites, you hereby grant the Websites a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, exploit, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, communicate, and perform the Content in connection with the Websites’s (and its successors’ and affiliates’) business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Websites (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels. You also waive to the full extent permitted by law any and all claims against us related to moral rights in the Content. In no circumstances will we be liable to you for any exploitation of any Content that you post. You also hereby grant each user of the Websites a non-exclusive, royalty free license to access your Content through the Websites, and to use, reproduce, distribute, display, communicate and perform such Content as permitted through the functionality of the Websites and under these Terms of Service. The above licenses granted by you in video Content you submit to the Websites terminate within a commercially reasonable time after you remove or delete your videos from the Websites. You understand and agree, however, that the Websites may retain, but not display, distribute, or perform, server copies of your videos that have been removed or deleted. The above licenses granted by you in user comments you submit are perpetual and irrevocable.”
So, no. Pornhub does not legally own content you post on their site. In fact, there’s no legal way for them to be able to do that. What this means is that they’re allowed to use and distribute the content you post for advertising, repost it on one of their other sites, or reformat them to fit different pages. It’s what allows other users to be able to share someone’s original post without their prior expressed consent.
And if you think you’ve been safe from this up until now, I’m sorry to say this has always been the conditions you’ve been posting your art under.
Per Tumblr’s terms of use:
“When you provide Subscriber Content to Tumblr through the Services, you grant Tumblr a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable right and license to use, host, store, cache, reproduce, publish, display (publicly or otherwise), perform (publicly or otherwise), distribute, transmit, modify, adapt (including, without limitation, in order to conform it to the requirements of any networks, devices, services, or media through which the Services are available), and create derivative works of, such Subscriber Content. The rights you grant in this license are for the limited purposes of allowing Tumblr to operate the Services in accordance with their functionality, improve and promote the Services, and develop new Services. The reference in this license to “creat[ing] derivative works” is not intended to give Tumblr a right to make substantive editorial changes or derivations, but does, for example, enable reblogging, which allows Tumblr Subscribers to redistribute Subscriber Content from one Tumblr blog to another in a manner that allows them to add their own text or other Content before or after your Subscriber Content.“
