REBLOG IF ITS OKAY TO TALK TO YOU.
Please.
So these have a knack for being spread around faster, but please like/reblog this if you’re interested in interacting with fandomless OC who’s an exotic dancer!
beloved-death:
//Do you think you’d be able to make a novel around your OCs?
I’ve been hinting at it for a while, but yeah my OC Shade here comes from a novel I want to write. I’m not sure if having an RP account for him will make that complicated IF I ever succeed and want to get published... but we’ll cross that bridge if we ever come to it, hm?

Shade’s response only further crushed any hope Crow might have had. If she wasn’t with him, and she wasn’t here, where was she?
“I– no. Not since yesterday.” Crow confessed, and his voice cracked. He didn’t even bother to try and hide how worried he was. After all this time he’d finally found his sister, and now she was gone again.
“I thought, maybe, she would be with you. I even searched the area, called her phone… nothing.” He shook his head helplessly.
He shrugged, visibly unconcerned about the situation in contrast to Crow. It would be hard for a psychic woman to get herself into real trouble. Even surrounded by gunman and faced with a rabid bear she’d come out unscathed. “That’s a load of crap. She was supposed to meet me,” he said. He wouldn’t say it to Sora’s brother, but he was leaving tomorrow. It was their last chance to be together and to lose it was severely disheartening. “You really don’t have a clue?”

Crow had been beside himself with worry. It had been a full day since he’d last heard from Sora. She’d left saying she was going to meet a friend, and then never returned. He’d tried calling her phone, even gone out searching for her at one point. He hadn’t found any trace of her, and was just about to start looking again when he heard the knock on the door.
He opened it, breathless, and upon seeing Shade the spark of hope in his eyes flickered out. But he couldn’t waste time feeling disappointed, there were more pressing issues at hand.
“Have you seen Sora?” He blurted out.
“No.” He said, “Have you?” He wasn’t sure when Crow had returned--Sora hadn’t mentioned it--but maybe it explained why she was missing. She was busy hanging out with him. But then, the man looked a mess. Didn’t he bother to clean up? Maybe something deeper was wrong. And his question... yes, surely he would’ve been the first to know where the girl was, if she wanted people to know. He put a hand on his hip and waited for the answer.
Shade shouldn’t have been kept waiting. Forget courtesy to a god--that was just courtesy between normal human beings. After an hour, he’d given up on waiting in their hang-out place, he headed towards Sora’s home. It was the most likely place she’d be, unless she’d completely forgotten about him and went out on a walk. The idea had him fuming. He knocked on the door to the lab heavily.
altaindustries:
It’s going to be alright.
Sora let his words soothe her. She’d see him again, she had to. Shade may be many things but he usually kept his word, and she couldn’t imagine he’d lie to her about something like this. She appeared to calm down a bit, though grief still tugged at her heart.
“Okay. I-I trust you.” She mumbled.
“That’s good, but you still look a bit like you want to cry,” he said. He’d almost been ready to say that it was good to place your trust in a god, but it was something along those lines that started a fight those few weeks ago. “Well, whatever. About that money... yeah, I’ll need some. My friend, she lives way down in Mexico the last I knew, and she doesn’t get out much.” It would at least be nice to get out of this cold, on the bright side.
altaindustries:
Sora blinked, then smiled tiredly.
“O-oh, right. That… makes sense.” She put her phone away again, then stood wringing her hands in front of him. She clearly wanted to hug him again, but wasn’t sure if he’d let her or not.
“Th-thank you, Shade.” She wasn’t sure exactly what for– for keeping her updated, or at least promising to. At least she wouldn’t have to worry about what happened to him for the rest of her life, if she really did never see him again.
Why did she seem so nervous? Maybe it was for his sake. “It’s going to be alright. Somehow. I’ve dealt with this for a long time.” He didn’t like admitting that, because it felt like it was one step closer to telling her the truth, and no-one could ever know.
altaindustries:
Sora wished she could be more helpful. This was something beyond her, more than she could ever really hope to handle, actually. But she was trying. Doing her best to support him and provide what aid she could.
“I-if you think it’ll help..” Sora murmured, fishing around for her cellphone in her pocket before handing it to him. “Here. Who are you going to call..?”
The miscommunication made him smile, or at least try to. It was difficult at a time like this. He placed the phone back in her hand. “You, silly. I can keep you updated, and once I’ve heard from that friend, I can at least let you know if it’s reasonable for me to return or not. If I have to stay away for a lifetime, the least I can do is call every now and then.”
altaindustries:
Sora frowned, trying to forget her worries for a moment and just think. There had to be some solution to this, something they just weren’t seeing.
“Maybe… maybe you should leave?” Sora said tentatively. “Just for a little while. And then… after a bit you can come back? A few weeks or something, I don’t know. I-I can give you money if you need it, uhm…”
“It seems risky,” he admitted, looking away. “If only I had an insider to know what he was thinking, so I knew just how close he was hovering over me.” It was possible, in a roundabout sense. He had Aeternias who could tell him of the most likely future and of present occurrences. “I might have a friend who can help with that part. I’d still have to leave, though. At least... for the time being. With any luck I can return... Do you have a cellphone, Sora?”
altaindustries:
Sora was reluctant to let go of him, but as he stepped away she allowed her arms to drop back down to her sides. It didn’t help that he’d pulled away when she was so emotional, even if she was determined to try and be strong.
“I– I don’t I…” What would she do if she was stalked? Sora wasn’t even sure she knew how to answer that.
“Run somewhere? Uhm… stay inside, I.. I don’t know, it’s never happened to me before.”
He shook his head. “Running is what I AM doing. Staying indoors could work... maybe... as much as I don’t want to live my life as a hermit,” he said. Actually, thinking harder, Elysius probably was insane enough to blow up a building if it meant getting rid of his prey. Shade wouldn’t trust many places other than a prison; but, that was a bad idea for a multitude of reasons.
(So uhm, PSA to anyone who has RPed with me, I’m sorry I’ve been away. First it was the holidays, then it was Miitopia, and now it’s overwhelming tiredness/addiction to Monster Hunter. BUT I’ve been trying to get back into the swing of things and I think I’ve been doing a good job. So long story short, if you still want to RP with me, let me know with a little “like” or even a PM.)
altaindustries:
Sora sniffed, finally allowing her tears to fall. Sure they hadn’t known each other for a long time, but they’d grown so close during this time she didn’t want to say goodbye. Not now, not ever. His petting her hair was soothing, though it didn’t relieve the ache in her heart by much.
“You’re my friend, and I love you,” She whispered. “S-so if there is a way I.. I want to find it..!”
Being told he was loved was peculiar. Had he really done anything to deserve it? What was it even supposed to feel like? After one more tight squeeze, Shade took a step back from her. If it was so important to them to stick together, then now was the time to be analytical, not emotional. “Don’t tell me you have any ideas. What would you do if you were stalked?”
Commissions?

Sora wasn’t sure what to say– she didn’t want him to die either, of course. But did that really mean he had to leave? Was this other god going to find him so quickly? After he moved closer to her and put a hand on her shoulder her resolve to stay distant crumbled.
She wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug and buried her face in his chest, struggling to hold back tears.
“I– I’ll miss you..!”
“I know, I--I don’t want to leave for good either.” In return, he hugged her back with one arm and petted her hair with the other. What had he done? He’d really upset her with what he was hoping was idle conversation. “We have to figure something out. I don’t think things should stay like this.”
altaindustries:
“The– the other gods?” Sora repeated. She hadn’t even thought about it, since he’d told her what he was. She didn’t realize other gods were out there, much less that one that was trying to kill him. She gazed at him in silence for a few moments, struggling to find something to say.
“You… you aren’t… going to come back, are you?” She asked quietly. She felt like she was being choked, with every word a massive effort. Sure they didn’t always see eye to eye, but the thought of never seeing him again was enough to make her heart break– it hurt.
He looked down. Shade somehow didn’t expect this, right after a fight,. Wasn’t it normal for people to say their goodbyes? And they hadn’t even known each other a year. Was he doing something wrong? “I don’t know,” he said, “I just don’t want to die.” He put a finger to his temple. “Maybe...” He walked over and put a hand on her shoulder--hopefully comforting.
