She moved her free hand up behind the back of her oldest’s head and ran her fingers through his dark hair. “Shhh—-” She laughed as she looked down at him. He seemed to be wanting to spend a lot of time around her, just like Leon had been. Perhaps Caspian had a point when he said that she shouldn’t have kept them around her so much when they were tiny – because she wasn’t going to be able to perform her Queenly duties when they were clinging to her like this. “What would you like to do, Darling?” She questioned as she pressed her lips into his forehead and then let him back down upon the ground and stood up, prepositioning Leon on her hip. “Make sure that you’ve got Smudge.” She nudged her head towards the dog so that Ian knew what she meant. “—- We can go read a story together if you want. Or we can get something to eat. Go swimming.”
His head tilted back as he looked up at his mother. He loved how she always seemed to be calm him down without even truly trying. Just her presence alone tended to do that for him. When she listed off the things that they could do together his brow furrowed a little while he thought. He wasn't much of a fan when it came to swimming. Ian much rather would remain on land than go into the water. Eating or reading were more what he was interested in. "Can we eat and read?" he asked. He knew he didn't have to worry about Smudge. Smudge would follow them without him even saying anything once they decided on what they were doing.
