Introvert and Extrovert Indicators in the Birth Chart
Most people may quickly identify whether they are meant to be an introvert or an extrovert according to their Sun sign, but surprisingly or maybe not surprisingly, there are multiple indicators or layers of indicators that can be demonstrated in the birth chart aside from the Sun sign’s polarity. In this post, I will cover these different indicators.
Your Sun Sign
Yes, your Sun sign is actually a strong indicator, but I would like to further elaborate on this with masculine and feminine decans. I actually made a short post on this in the past which you can read here. Basically, there is a theory that each sign can be divided in a masculine and feminine decan. When you have a luminary in a sign (for example, Aries) there may be a sub-influence to this planet by the decan. So in the case of a luminary in Aries, though Aries is a masculine sign, the luminary could fall into the feminine decan of this sign. This doesn’t take away from the fact that Aries is a masculine/active influence, but it becomes distinguishable when separated by two sub-influences. The Ascendant is another placement that can be looked at for this sub-influence as well.
The first 15 degrees of a masculine sign is masculine and the last 15 degrees is feminine. The opposite is of course seen in feminine signs starting feminine and ending masculine (November Scorpios REALLY are different from October Scorpios hmm…).
Day and Night Charts
The next layer of indication can be observed by whether the chart is a day or night chart and the condition of the ruling luminary. Day charts are ruled by the Sun and night charts are ruled by the Moon.
Day charts (Sun above the ascending line) with the Moon above the ascending line indicate more extroverted energy.
Day charts (Sun above the ascending line) with the Moon below the ascending line may indicate either ambiverted or extroverted energy.
Night charts (Sun below the ascending line) with the Moon below the ascending line indicate more introverted energy.
Night charts (Sun below the ascending line) with the Moon above the ascending line may indicate either ambiverted or introverted energy.
Northern and Southern Hemisphere Emphasis
The final layer of indication I want to mention is hemisphere emphasis. We can observe where there is an emphasis of planets located in the chart having correlation to whether someone may be more introverted or extroverted.
The top half of the chart (marked in red) is considered the Southern hemisphere. When most of an individual’s planets occupy the Southern hemisphere, they are more focused on themselves in relation to the world, relationships, and the public. Overall, a Southern hemisphere emphasis makes one leaning more towards extroverted.
The bottom half of the chart (marked in blue) is considered the Northern hemisphere. When most of an individual’s planets are occupied here, they are more focused inwardly on themselves, close relationships such as family, hobbies, and private activities. Overall this often makes one more introverted.
Personal planets especially pre-occupying one of these hemispheres makes a big impact on having either introverted or extroverted energy.
Other Indicators
There are of course other indicators, such as aspects to the luminaries, condition of the chart ruler, specific house emphasis and so on, but the three categories mentioned are going to be the biggest indicators. Are you introverted or extroverted and is it indicated in your chart based on these?
The Ultimate Guide to Potion Bases
We all spend so much time thinking about the correspondences of the actual ingredients that go into our potions that we often forget to think about what the potion base represents! (At least I do.) It would be nice to have a list of all the various liquids that can be used in place of water. Naturally, I can’t think of everything but I think this is a pretty good starting point! What else can be used? Eventually, at some point down the road, I will compile all these thoughts into a book on potion making and want to include this! Keep in mind that these are my own correspondences. Let me know if you disagree or if you’d change anything up! Let’s see how big we can make this list. Also, I should probably note that not all of these liquids can be ingested. (Obviously.)
The List
Vinegar: Used for cleansing and purification potions. Lemon Juice: Used in hexing, cursing, or revenge potions. Cranberry Juice: Used in love potions. Apple Juice: Used in healing, knowledge, and youth potions. Ammonia: Used in banishing, cursing, purification, and protection Red Wine: Love potions and potions dealing with death and the afterlife. White Wine: Used in platonic love potions as well as success brews. Rum: Used in potions involving spirit work. Whisky: Another good base for potion work. Vodka: A good base for work involving rapid banishing. Laundry detergent: Good for cleansing potions. Oils: Used to speed up a process. Molasses: Used in potions intended to slow a situation down. Rubbing Alcohol: Another good base for cleansing and purification. Hydrogen Peroxide: Used in healing potions. Milk: Used in potions to promote sleep and peace. Sour Milk: Used to cause nightmares or in potions designed to torment. Orange Juice: For potions of solar importance, healing, success. Soda Water: Used in potions designed to encourage laughter and giddiness. Ginger Ale: Used in health or healing potions. Olive Juice: Used in peace potions. Honey: Used in potions to sweeten up another’s disposition. Syrup: Used in abundance and prosperity potions. Beer: Used in potions intended to induce slumber. Clam Juice: Used in aphrodisiacs. Cough Syrup: Used in healing potions and to make someone ‘cough it up.’ Soy Sauce: Used in protection potions. (Thanks Lexa Rosean for this one!) Pineapple Juice: Used in abundance potions and fidelity potions. Coconut Milk: Used in spiritual and magical cleansing potions. Ice: Solid first, then melted for transformation potions. Coffee: Really, a potion in and of itself in my book. Vanilla Extract: In small amounts, used in passion potions. Witch Hazel: Used in communication and cleansing potions.

my bio prof: which parasite caused the potato famine?
the tiny desperate tired voice in my head: don’t say the english, it’s correct, but don’t say it
This is a common misconception! As the English usually kill their host, we’re actually parasitoids not true parasites!
now this is a correction i’ll stand for
