as we grow up, we're often encouraged to stop playing, to throw away or sell our toys and act our age. this can make letting yourself play again hard. i find that i collect my toys far more than i play with them so here's a list of ideas i came up with to encourage yourself to play:

lip sync to songs and have your stuffies "say" the words. (works well with songs from musicals, or songs that tell a story!)

have a tea party and share your food with your toys and stuffies

look after a stuffie: care for them as you would a baby, give them snuggles, help feed them with a bottle and tuck them in

act out a scene from a movie

or! make up your own story

play under the covers or in a quiet room where you feel safe

make your own toys, this can be with paper, felt or fabric (then they can be the perfect toy for you!)

look up activities on pinterest to try!

🌸 This adorable softie is an absolute dear! Her pink fur is SUPER soft and I love her bow! I didn’t even realize at first but she’s got the same type of nose as my oldest stuffie Bunny (the grey one with the bow in the big picture) and they just match so well! (Name: Bubblegum)🌸

🍭 OOOO I GOT GOODIES! Thank you so super much @dogibabi for the sweets and trinkets! I haven’t seen little tapes like these in so long and they’re FINDING DORY themed which makes them extra cute! I think I’ve got a plan for this paci! This is all just the icing on the cake (ig it’s the perks of being first 😄)!🍭

💖 These are all the stuffies that stay on my bed (I’ve got plenty others throughout my room, maybe I’ll do some stuffy introductions) and I think these cuties fit in perfectly!
