Yes, she could be playing it up for sympathy and to distract from her shitty actions and her shitty son.
But you don't have to fucking say shit. Keep it to yourself. Accusing someone of "parading around an oxygen machine" just because she uses it sometimes but not all of the time is fucking ableist shit. My mom sometime uses an oxygen machine. And yes, she has a different condition than MM, but it's the same thing. Just because you need a machine sometimes doesn't mean you need it all of the time.
The truth is, we don't know what's actually going on with MM's lungs. And we won't, unless you're her doctor or nurse. So fucking shut up about it. Focus on the actually shitty things she's doing and avoiding accountability for.
Or at least find a better way to fucking say it.
