People are Ugly and Weak they are ; Annoying and
Dishonest ,
Hiromi had seen it all. Heard it all . Every Trial every Tribunal . It wore him tore him
his principals his humanity, his
Altruistic desires
And Yet-he persevered To do what was right Yet- The framework of it all The system ; It's rigged It's a con It's a sham. No,
It's working exactly as intended. Isn't it.
In the end Hiromi never truly saw eye to eye with the apathy of colleagues and committees, the overseeing chairman's rigidness. They had their shortcomings.
And so did he. He wasn't innocent either He knew what he saw of himself in the mirror since Awakening, that very same shallowness he was disgusted by stared right back at him, now reflecting upon him to. He walked all the paved paths, followed every course of protocol, attested within the correct channels of communication,
' 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 ? '
To be punished by the endless looping of bureaucracy making lost causes out of his cases.
He blows out his birthday candle 31', 32', 33'━━━36'.... '
As his burnout Midlife Crisis became more ungovernable he had stopped celebrating. Everything was just too much too- irritating. For in his pursuit to bring justice by the righteous way of the courts, had near been what extinguished that very passion within him.
The fatigue of his empathy was partly a self infliction of his own idealism. Biting off more than he could chew in the eyes of the judicial system. His defenses were Samaritan in nature but naïve in Liabilities.
When he first met you, he was still in his own world. mind and soul occupied, governed by systemic injustices he lacked the authoritative powers to change.
It's Thursday. Your catching an early morning train ,
-and his derbies tuxedos are audibly clicking against the stations tile flooring ascending up the steps. It's business as usual like clock-work the man in the matching two piece makes a b-line for the vending machine, his sanpaku eyes reading over the same order of beverage options and their yellowing name tags, it's probably been unchanged since the creation of 3G phone signal.
Option ━[ No.22 ]━
He selects,
Kobe Kyoryuchi Coffee-Unsweetened Black
The same every-time,
¥150
Tapping the yen coin's out his wallet, feeding two ¥100 coins into the multi slot
Clatter* Drops his coffee clink* Drops his change of ¥50
pssst~~ kshk' The can fizzles as it's ring hook pops open. Slugging down the caffeine he heads to queue Over the years how much in Yen has he left unclaimed ? He seems to be a bit of a scatterbrained individual.
You still have ¥100 of his change from two days prior Unspent.
You pocket the ¥50 and board your ride.
It's Friday. Your catching an early morning train and he's eyeing his Kobe coffee.
" 𝐚𝐡━ ? " He pats his suit pockets down He empties his dress trouser pockets , his satchel bag.
No luck today? It seems to be he left his wallet at home. You approach the vending machine selecting ━[ No.22 ]━
Feeding the machine his ¥150,
" Here it's yours ."
Eyes-wide and bewildered he combs the front of his loosely-gelled-disheveled-hair and bows a polite thank you, accepting the gesture.
" oh err?... no, it's yours ." Your expression on the verge of flushing " 𝐈'𝐝 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫━ " You cut him off. " It's-your-money-I-paid-with. " Slightly-sinking your head.
" 𝐡𝐮𝐡 ? " " The ¥150 I used. It's your ¥50 change since Tuesday , you left it unclaimed so I- "
" 𝐏𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝-𝐦𝐲-𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲. " He stated.
" ...erm yes sorr-" He cuts you off.
"━𝐈'𝐦 𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 ,
- a pause - 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞. " His expression unreadable.
" I-know... I-committed theft- -I even returned it in a shameless way..." Your demeanor shrinks.
-Locking eyes with his gaze-
There's a present pause.
' 𝐩𝐟𝐟𝐭- 𝐟𝐮'- 𝐟𝐮'- ' He lets a chuckle pass, Looking at you eyes soft-somber melancholic. ?

November 20, 2020 (sources in English & Portuguese) (TW: the Portuguese article contains video footage of the murder)
João Alberto Silveira Freitas was murdered by two security guards (one an off-duty police officer) in Brazil late Thursday. He died on a Brazilian national holiday for Black Consciousness and Awareness, Dia da Consciência Negra.
The horrifying video shows the guards brutalizing João Alberto Silveira Freitas as he cries out, bloody, and forcefully brought to the ground. Emergency responders failed to resuscitate him. It’s the exact same horror as George Floyd.
Black Brazilians bear the brunt of police violence. Just last year, more than 75 percent of the 5,800 people killed by police were Black.
We cannot be silent about João Alberto Silveira Freitas’s massacre and injustice.
All Black lives matter. Brazilian Black lives matter ✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿
November, 20: On this day is celebrated the Black Awareness Day in Brazil. The country has more than half of its population self declarated as "black" but this is not enough to contain the structural racism that kills a lot of black people everyday.
After a black man being brutally killed by white guards in a supermarket (in a similar situation of George Floyd), in the eve of Black Awareness Day, citizens from all states of the Brazil broke out on the streests to protest against racism.
These photos represents the feeling stuck inside every black soul in the country, and those quotes means:
