Did Toby intentionally use the slow chanting of Flowey's theme during the weird route lake scene to draw a narrative parallel of a childhood human and monster friendship ending in a death pact, or does he just think the leitmotif fucks?

The real "Amazing Digital Circus" is the internet acrobatics we all have to perform to dodge spoilers for the next 2-4 weeks
here’s some brainrot
i think I’m just gonna reblog this every time we’re a week away from each episode
It’s that time again
time to reblog this again
I’m scared.
I'm not expecting much for shipping in this show knowing that it won't have any romance, but the fact we got a funnybunny hug no matter what happens in the future still kind of blows my mind. When I read Pomni was touch-averse, I entirely gave up on the hope for any hug scenes with her to ever canonically exist with anyone, much less Jax, so when it happened, it jumpscared me in the best way.

On Jax's complicated af dynamics with Ragatha and Pomni
A lot of people are saying that Ragatha reached out to Jax post-Ribbit abstraction and she was too desperate about it or pushed him away, so she was never able to properly be there for him.
But personally, I want it to be WAY messier. I want them to have been in a hurt/comfort fic that plunged south at the very end. I want Jax’s particular rage he’s only ever expressed towards Ragatha—something we don’t even see with Gangle despite her fears that he’d “want revenge” for not choosing him—to be because she’s the only person in the whole circus who’s gotten to see him truly vulnerable.
They act like exes. I’m not saying they were, but it feels so much more personal between them than the other characters. It feels like Jax cried in her arms one(1) time and he’s dedicated every interaction he’s had with her since to punishing the existence of that moment.
I assume it was in the aftermath of what happened to Ribbit. Maybe Ragatha was the only one who (initially) didn't blame him, and really did try to be there for him at first. This is on the assumption that Jax and Ribbit were a chaotic duo who goofed off together and fed off each other in a negative way. On Ragatha’s end, she could have been very eager to connect with Jax in a surprising moment of his own vulnerability. But any potential tenderness was squandered by a misspoken attempt to get closer. Something as simple as implying she was glad to see this side of him can hit very negatively, like she was pleased he was badly broken enough to be forced to go to her for comfort. An initially emotional and vulnerable interaction between the two could have ended with Jax being humiliated and angry for letting someone in, only for them to “use” his sorrow to try and forge a connection. But unlike irl exes they can't just block each other and move out and never talk again. They're all stuck in the circus going on daily adventures together. So he has to double down on being an asshole to her just to stomach the memory. This is all speculation of course, but I just feel like their beef is cooked extra well done, you know? It’s extra personal.
This is in contrast to Pomni, who he built a bond with through a game rather than needing her to support him in some way. But when things started to get emotional, and the risk of her being there for him (as she's been with others so far) reared its head, he refused to engage.
I like the idea that Pomni has a mix of Ribbit and Ragatha traits, in her willingness to be silly and chaotic when nudged, but also her desire to help others feel better. And that's utterly terrifying to Jax. She's fun and she's caring? That's a blend of energies that he knows could entirely undo him.
And it does.
I have no idea if he has the capacity to let Ragatha or Pomni in again at this point, nor do I know who has more potential to be helpful in talking him down even slightly (Ragatha may have done it before but misstepped, and Pomni got through but in doing so inadvertently pushed him further into a bad place). But I still hope we get more information on who he was before Pomni showed up, and I look forward to seeing just how messy it gets from here.
Me, most of my adult life: I don't get the appeal of MILFs. Like, conceptually sure, but what is the actual draw of a maternal character romantically? Maybe it's just about the big boobs, or the sense that they're already taken, or were once taken, or what? Super Creek in Umamusume: *Exists* Me, now: Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Such a specific and funny point of commonality for these two
Ok but consider post-finale Dev being really confused why he keeps seeing purple animals everywhere. When he wakes up, a fluffy purple bird is perched on his windowsill and sings at him brightly, a welcome break from the usual hum of tech. When he's angrily storming off, a purple cat steps in his way and winds around his legs until he crouches and pets it, his temper instantly cooling. When he's crying alone on the curb, a friendly purple stray dog hops into his lap and licks his cheeks until he smiles. And Dev finds it strange, but also, he feels better than he has in a very long time. Because his dad still doesn't care about him...but for some reason, it feels like the rest of the world does.
How powerful is adult Peri?
Fairy babies are considered dangerous because they have no control over their magic powers, but Peri (then Poof) was exceptionally magical. Like, on the day this man was born, his fart reset the entire universe. I’m not sure if there’s a canonical reason for why he's so powerful (maybe because he was created out of wish magic?) but it’s established he had powers that most fairies as infants do not.
What I want to know is how strong is Peri as an adult? We haven’t seen much of his abilities beyond granting Dev’s wishes. He also still has his rattle, at least the top part now attached to a cane. This is likely a visual reminder that this character was once Poof, but it’s also interesting if he still needs to use it to control his magic to some extent. Like his magic as an adult is only as controlled as a normal fairy baby’s would be/very overpowered and tricky to control with additional wand technology.
If this is true, it explains his personality really well. If Peri was a DnD character, he’d fall somewhere on the lawful alignment. This is unlike his parents, who respect the rules but lean way heavier on the chaotic side. You would think a fairy baby born with such potential for rampant chaos would have a chaotic personality to match, but what if he HAS to be a rule follower because his magic would be too dangerous otherwise? A little like Raven in Teen Titans being stoic to keep her emotion-driven powers controlled. If Peri had to keep his magic under control at all times or risk being a danger to those around him, he would absolutely grow up to be a hard stickler for the rules and feel really nervous about deviating from them.
Does that mean we might see some crazy magic feats from him in the finale? Maybe, but this is just speculation. I’m curious what other people think about how much power he has, and if he lost it all as an adult or he's still way stronger than the average fairy godparent but trying to keep it in check.
Their entire dynamic thus far

Can't believe Nintendo just did this to us last year. Et tu, Nickelodeon?
Fun fact: these bottles in Kieran's dorm room sink are ramune bottles! Ramune is a kind of Japanese soda with a unique shape that's infamously tricky to open if you've never done so before. Just thought that was neat attention to detail. (He definitely needs to be eating and drinking more than chocolate and soda, though...hopefully post-epilogue his diet improves!)
