It’s always been my dream to be viewed as a living goddess. When anyone encounters me, I want them to feel as though they have just come in contact with an ethereal being. Someone who is so uniquely feminine, elegant, skillful, kind, elegant, and charming. I want them to be captivated by my beauty and enraptured by my intellect. There is no spell that can accomplish this. Only dedicated and precise hard work. You have to be dedicated. You have to show up for yourself every day, even when you’re tired. Even when you’re sad. Make an effort to reach out to your extended family. Just check and see how they’re doing. Make a list of your cousins, aunts, and uncles, and give them a call. A call or text to let them know you’re thinking of them will do so much for your relationships with them.
Make it a point to call those who might not be blood-related to you every other month. They have had a role in your growth and development and would probably love to have an update on how you're doing.
Be a listening ear for your friends. Cultivate real, meaningful relationships with them. Invite them out to brunch or dinner. Bring them little gifts that remind you of them.
When you speak to people, make them feel like the most important and significant people in the world. Be agreeable. Be charming. Remain focused and engaged.
If you bring up a tangent, relate it back to what the speaker was saying.
Save key, intimate details for your inner circle exclusively.
Make time to spend with your inner circle. Girls nights, game nights, group trips, etc. Even with your busy life, you should still make time to spend with those you’re close with.
When in the talking stage with a man:
First things first: NO MAN SHALL GET BOYFRIEND TREATMENT WITHOUT MAKING THE NECESSARY COMMITMENT. This means talking all day, having access to you at all times, going out all the time, sex, none of that.
Don’t be such an open book in the early stages. He does not need to know all of your business and you shouldn’t be so ready and willing to share it.
Do not get upset if he responds late or does not respond for a long time – He is not your man, therefore he doesn’t owe you his time. However, if he makes an effort to intentionally share his time with you…
Remember, good behavior should be praised. If he wants to take his sweet time getting back to your text, don’t trip. Take YOUR sweet time. Take ALL the time you need to respond. When you do? Act like nothing has happened.
Keep the conversations captivating in this stage.
Pay attention to things he says and drop them in conversation casually. People love when you remember things they might see as insignificant conversation talking posts.
MAINTAIN YOUR BOUNDARIES. Boundaries establish respect and let him know that you’re not one of those girls who he can get whatever he wants from and treat however he feels.
When things aren’t going your way and he gets frustrating, remain calm. He’s still not your man. There’s no reason to go back and forth with him.
You do not want to be too affectionate with a man who is not exclusively yours. Don't get too comfortable, but don't act too stand-off-ish or he'll think you're not interested. Every once in a while, drop him a random compliment, or a small peck on the cheek.
Don't fall into the pet name trap. If he calls you his girl or his baby or whatever-- THAT STILL DOES NOT MEAN HE IS YOUR MAN. Until he fixes his lips and asks "Will you be mine" (or some variation) all of that other stuff is just talk.
When in a relationship with a man:
Don’t be afraid to let your man know what you do and don’t like – teach him how you want to be treated
Don’t be afraid to show affection and give him praise
Dedicate time to speaking to him throughout the day
Carve out time to spend with him in person
Treat him every now and again– show him you appreciate how he takes care of you
Learn his love language so that you are effectively showing him your love and appreciation
Key tip: let him tell you what his favorite fragrance on you is, and wear that on date nights.
