ARCHIVED- NOTICE
Since this blog is kinda an inactive wreck, I decided to remake it fresh for new encounters. I won’t delete this one, so instead it’ll sit as an archive.

"Exactly, so why don't you MAKE a future? You're research is going nowhere like that and no bird is going to help you advance. They're only here to slow you down, Marissa." Rookie sympathetically looked at her. "They don't even bother to help fund some of your research, don't you think it's time to stand up?"
Marissa looked at Rookie thoughtfully. Perhaps she had a point. Maybe it was time to strike out on her own and start her own research again. "Maybe you're on to something...."
"But, YOU didn't ask for this job, did you? You didn't ask to have your mind rot into nothing just so it could be used for options?" Rookie taunted. "But, if you really want to waste into nothing then I guess you're doing fine." She teased. All she wanted was to pull the right strings on the scientist, Rookie can only hope she does.
“No...I loved my old lab. I didn’t ask to be reassigned here.” She shook her head and sat down. “I used to be on the cutting edge of research. I had funding and materials right at my flipper tips...” She sighed. “Next thing I knew I was in a transfer crate with a file bearing need to know intel on my new team....But that was years ago.” She cleared her throat and stood back up. “There’s...There’s no use reminiscing on the past.”
"Of course!" She cheered. "Who would doubt your intellect? It looks like your team if it's only used for giving options." Rookie begun to smoooth her feathers to taunt Marissa more. "Pretty low for them to do if you ask me."
Marissa looked at her and then away. Maybe Rookie had a point? Why didn’t Skippsy ever give her her own missions, why was she only ever asked for options or to babysit her teammates?
She looked at Rookie again. “I guess....it’s just what my job description implies?”
"Chain of what?" Rookie innocently asked. "You're wasting your value providing options? You could've finished that training faster and better if it was only you."
“I’m not sure if...” She starts before pausing and looking at Rookie a little insecurely. “You really think I could have?” She certainly didn’t see herself as capable to carry out her own plans on her own...But if she had to only plan for herself, that would be fewer variables to have to consider in a situation.
Rookie stared at her for a long time to the point where it got uncomfortable. If she could get Marissa by her side, then things would go down smoothly. "I said...WHY don't you let them do things YOUR way?" She repeated and continue to stare.
"Because that's not how the chain of demand works?" Marissa gives her a strange look. "I'm not a leader, I'm an options provider."
After observing the girl's physical training, Rookie came to a conclusion. Teamwork sucked, it only slowed them down. The power of friendship was something she couldn't comprehend properly. She walked up to Marissa, least physical, yet smartest of them all. An easy target to start. "Marissa...you know you suck at this. Why don't you let them do things YOUR way?"
Marissa blinked, caught off guard by her question. She put down the beaker she was holding and turned to look at her. "I beg your pardon?" She raised a brow at her.
"So, I guess things are settled?" Kibble said as he begun to look around the place. "Wow, this place is begging to be inspected. Simplicity is always the best disguise." He remarks.
“What do you mean?” Skipper asked, looking at the seal.
"Gelatin cubes multiply on impact so that's what you brought up the bat? It could've been used to aid your team for certain operations had he done better modifications." Kibble thought. "That's sheer genius! Your well deserved praise should've been recognized by your team, well..Should've is the keyword." He gave a soft laugh.
Kowalski sighed. "Yep... But there's no use dwelling on the past. May the jiggli rest in peace."
"You created artificial life and STILL don't believe in ghosts despite committing the biggest crime to existance by unlawfully making life?" Kibble rapidly replied in a sarcastic manner. "That sounds kinda cool! How did you do it?"
Kowalski rubbed under his beak. “Honestly...It was an accident and I’m still not fully certain how I did it. I remember I was working with a particle, something happened, there was an explosion, then a cube of lime gelatin had come to life. It was adorable, and just as misunderstood as I felt.” He glanced at Skipper. “Had I been permitted to keep a couple I’m sure by now I could have made it completely harmless.”
"Jiggles?" Kibble said looking confused. "What is a Jiggles and why are the implications somewhat bad?" He asked.
Kowalski made a slightly pained expression.
“Jiggles was an accidental monstrosity he created. Then claimed he put down but lied. Then we had to ship them to space. The man went psycho over those little green monsters.”
“They were my babies!” He growled. “And they wouldn’t have been a problem if you hadn’t kept hitting them with that bat!”
"That? C'mon, that was easy. You could've done this without me." Kibble lightly slapped Kowalski in the back. "However, I agree with your leader. Science is only good with a sound mentality and that's why mad scientists exist."
Kowalski frowned somewhat. “I’m no where near a mad scientist.”
“Ehhhhhhhhh.” Skipper maked a so-so motion with his flipper. “Don’t make me bring up Jiggles.”
"I hope he eats you someday, nerd! I'm going to play mind games on your girlfriend now because clearly you lack the brain to play it." Rookie insulted and left. "I don't like her." Kibble whispered to Kowalski and glanced at Skipper. "He seems debatable." he whispered.
"I’m not overly fond of her myself." He murmured back. He then approached Skipper. "Sir...I’ve been thinking about this for awhile...I don’t feel like the unit actually appreciates my skills and that the main reason I’m kept is to provide options."
Skipper looked at Kowalski. For a long moment he did not say anything. "Well...options and analysis is you job, Kowalski. The science is your hobby, and this hobby does cause problems....But despite your faults, the team wouldn’t be the same without you." He cleared his throat. "Granted, we would get by if we lost you, like we did with Manfredi and Johnson and would if we lost anyone. But if this is the sort of thing you think about all day in your lab, maybe it’s time to take a break from the science for awhile."
"Aren't you tired of telling the WHOLE world about your issues and not who YOU'RE suppose to?" Rookie gestured to Skipper. "That predator is another crying napkin to add onto your never ending collection." Kibble looked confused. "Predator? While that is historically and biologically accurate. Ideally, I prefer to not be called something so demeaning, thank you."
Skipper squinted at them.
Kowalski sighed. “We were actually coming by...for me to try to tell him...he had managed to convince me in a nice way.” He awkwardly cleared his throat.
"Barricade and defense training?" Kibble sighed and accepted the inevitable. "I, uh, come in peace? I know we're natural enemies, but I'm quite domesticated! I just want my friend to have some emotional closure to his own team, in this case, you guys." Kibble coughed. "You told him your dumb emo issues didn't you, loser?" Rookie called out Kowalski and crossed her flippers.
“I didn’t....mean to. They just kind of spilled out.” He sighed.
Skipper looked at them both suspiciously. “What’s the predator talking about?”
"Is this that captains of yours you were talking about? He's adorable!" Kibble replied and cooed and Private. "How're you doing?" He asked and saw the anti seal set up the others had. "What's that you've got there? Some kind of detector?"
“That is Private...the private.” Kowalski chuckled. “Skipper is the flat-headed one. And that, is a quickly constructed...” His voice trailed off. He was going to tell it to the boy straight, but he had this feeling that that was not the best choice. “A quickly constructed practice combat foxhole....indoors. They must have been having barricade and defense training.” He forced a smile.
Kibble entered the HQ when the penguin let him. He was surprised out how simplistic it seemed assuming there'd be more. "Hi! I'm Kibble and it's a pleasure to meet you all!" He exclaimed ad barked. Rookie gave a girlish high pitched screeched and cried off to Skipper. "OH COD, SIR! GET IT AWAY!" She gave another girlish scream and hid. Kibble looked lost and faced Kowalski for guidance.
Kowalski looked at the started teammates. “At ease! He’s friendly, like Hunter!”
Skipper and Rico did not look convinced as they had their anti-seal set up up.
Private however looked curious at the new visitor. He approached them. “Um...hello?” He smiled slightly.
