@prkkitae: i am simply not wearing any clothes until the heatwave is over

jaehyun’s smile got wider with the way kitae answered the question. seeing him excited to marry him was making his heart do insane flips that even a gymnast would be intimidated by. he excitedly turned to jinwoo to take the ring from him, his hands just as shaky when he slipped in on kitae’s finger. he couldn’t believe this was real life.
the little pause made him laugh a little, seeing how much kitae was bouncing out of excitement. for once, jaehyun forgot about the crowd in the room. he kissed him back, and it was like a giant weight was lifted off of his shoulders. it was the most relief he’s ever felt in his life and he didn’t know if he was ever going to feel it again. surely with kitae he will. right when kitae pulled away, jaehyun smiled widely at him and hugged him tightly, not being able to hold back anymore. “we did it.” he whispered, trying to keep himself together from getting emotional.
“we did it.” kitae whispered back to him, a small giggle coming from him as he pressed their foreheads together. “oh, it’s too cute!” kitae heard jinwoo squeal from behind jaehyun, his eyes misting over. kitae laughed again and shook his head affectionately before focussing on jaehyun again. “we’re married!” kitae was beaming again, getting himself ready to let people take a few photos of them.
he stood up straighter and offered his arm to him, hearing music starting again. “shall we?” he asked with a nod of his head towards to exit, ready to take their walk out of the room together.
sprngchild:
“you did it!” she squealed, feeling very happy for her friend. she saw how nervous he was all day, so it was amazing to see him finally enjoying his time. maybe she pinched him a little too hard when he said to pinch him, hand going over her mouth when he was suddenly in pain. “oh, god, sorry! was that too hard? hey, at least you got pinched and now you know it’s real!” she laughed.
“you know, i still think you’re scary.” kitae teased her playfully, then reaching over to put an arm around her in a half hug. “thank you for grounding me, short stack.” he laughed, almost going to ruffle her hair before stopping himself, knowing how long the girls had taken to get ready. “when’s your big day going to be then, huh?”

jaehyun couldn’t lie, the quote confused him at first. he didn’t understand what he meant until he explained it in his speech, and that’s when his smile appeared and his heart started to race. it was different this time. he wasn’t nervous. he was just so excited to hear what kitae would say. he held his hands, squeezing a little as he smiled softly, head nodding every now and then. he didn’t realize just how red his cheeks were. and if he were to look behind kitae, he would see taeil cringing with a little smile on. if they weren’t having a ceremony now in front of so many of their friends and family, jaehyun would’ve kissed him already. but he knew he had to wait for a little longer. and before he knew it, the officiator was asking him if he would take kitae as his husband. “i-i do.” he said simply with a wide smile, stuttering out of excitement.
kitae breathed out a pretend sigh of relief when jaehyun said i do, acting like he’d been worried he’d say other wise. his smile was impossible to wipe away, and he’d feel a little goofy for it if it wasn’t such a perfect moment. it was he turn to be asked the question and he gave a strong nod. “hell yeah, i do.” he answered confidently, sure he heard mina’s classic scoff laugh somewhere nearby. it was then a certain someone had an important job, kitae’s nephew coming up to hand kitae a ring, after jinwoo had given one to jaehyun. with shaky hands, he slipped the ring onto jaehyun’s finger, being as delicate as he could.
“i am happy to pronounce you, husbands. you may now,” the officiator took a pause, and kitae was bouncing on the spot, making a few of their friends laugh again. “kiss each other.” and like that, kitae was leaning in to gently kiss his now husband, for once not so shy in front of friends and family.
his eyes were so stuck on his fiance that his brain didn’t register that he tripped on the stairs. jaehyun was about to help him when he had gotten up and laughed, and he was relieved to see that he was okay. “you’re cute.” he mouthed back, his smile wide as he took kitae’s hand.
before he knew it, he was told to say his vows, and the anxiety started to rise. jaehyun took a deep breath and tried to keep himself together as he took a small piece of paper out of his jacket’s pocket, which was visibly showing how shaky he was. “kitae park, m– my best friend… i can’t even begin to describe how– how much i love you and how thankful i am that you slid into my life. literally. sliding into my messages on one lonely night and telling me i was cute.” he smiled a little wider at the memory, glancing up at him for a moment. “i thought someone was pulling a joke on me. this attractive guy was talking to me and he’s real? fast forward a few months of chats and calls, and i was in love. i know every kid’s parents tell them not to talk to strangers on the internet, but who cares? i met someone who truly was my best friend.” he took a deep breath, trying his best to get through this with a smile. he hated how awkward his voice was coming out; he wasn’t the best at public speaking. “and now i’m– i’m marrying my best friend. my beautiful and funny best friend who made all of my days so much brighter, who would listen to me rant about my favorite things with interest, who would talk to me through the night about our troubles. i love you, and i promise to give you the future that you deserve, and the family we’ve always wanted to have together. i promise to be your best friend, to have your back no matter what, to let you fight your own battles, but i’ll tap in when you need help. i promise to experience new things with you, as long as it doesn’t include cheese.” he chuckled, having decided to add a little humor to ease his own nerves. “and i promise to hold your hand every chance i get, to believe you when you compliment me, and to not hog the covers again. but most importantly, i vow to be by your side for the rest of our lives because, kitae park, you own my heart. i love you.”
kitae couldn’t keep his eyes off jaehyun, and seeing his hands shake made him want to just reach over and hug him. everything he said was exactly what he felt, and he was nodding his head in agreement now and then. he laughed along with everyone else at his jokes, feeling so proud of him in that moment. he placed a hand over his heart, mouthing ‘i love you too’ back to him. “gosh, that’s way better than what i’ve got.” he muttered as he took the paper he’d given to taeil, glancing over it for a moment.
“if i loved you less, i might be able to talk about it more.” kitae started, folding up his note and looking into his soon-to-be husband’s eyes. “i think that quote fits perfectly for here and now. i tried to write these vows for weeks, and nothing was right. nothing was grand enough, or accurate enough, or gentle enough. i think it’s true, that if i loved you any less, the words could be enough. but i simply adore you more than any language can express.” he chuckled, shrugging his shoulders. he reached out take jaehyun’s hands, smiling softly at him. “we weren’t so young when we started talking, but i hadn’t experienced much. i never really knew what love was, in any capacity. and i definitely didn’t know what to expect from relationships. but i knew that whenever i spoke to you i got butterflies, and whenever i heard you laugh on the other end of the line, it was like nothing bad in my week mattered. you were always on my mind, and i think you had a piece of my heart from the moment we met. you’ve taught be what it is to love, and to be loved. it’s laughter, it’s being brave when you’re scared, it’s loyalty and honesty. and it’s about growing together, and never holding each other back. i learn new things about you all the time, and i love it. i want to learn about you for the rest of my life. i want to see you develop and thrive and change your mind. i will love every version of you.” it was hard to speak like this in front of others, and kitae knew his cheeks were pink, and he wished he was some of poet for a change. “loving you is the best thing i’ve ever done. you’re the best friend i’ve ever had, and i get to kiss you, which is pretty neat.” he laughed. “all i want is a lifetime of crying with laughter until 3am, and cuddling on the sofa the next morning with our coffee feeling the regret of no sleep. i want our deep conversations, i want picnics in the spring and our family christmas. i want forever. my little artist, i hope you know you’re the most beautiful work of art i could ever lay eyes on. you’re the real masterpiece.” he let out a heavy breath, eyes brimming. “so, yes. of course i vow to love you and cherish you until death do us part and long, long after.”
“it’s fine! you look great, gosh, stop being like this.” taeil sighed, already tired of his brother but dealing with it anyway since it was his wedding day. it was understandable that he was so nervous. “kit, listen. you’re gonna do well. don’t think too much about it.” he smiled at him as he stood there with him, ready to go out soon after jaehyun’s party walks in. “you’re not gonna pass out, shush.”
meanwhile, jaehyun felt all eyes on him as he walked to the front of the room, and that made him afraid to make any mistake. he kept thinking about worst case scenarios, picturing how he could trip on his way and everyone would see it. thankfully, that didn’t happen. jaehyun got to the front of the room safely, and took a deep breath as he stood in his designated spot. he took a look at his friends, and he smiled nervously when he spotted his family members sitting nearby. he finally looked at the door where kitae would be coming out of, nervously swallowing when he saw his friends come out with kitae coming in at the end. he didn’t know what he was expecting since kitae was still unpredictable to him sometimes, but he did not expect to see him coming out in traditional clothing. it’s such a kitae thing to do on his own wedding day, and jaehyun couldn’t help but smile widely as he watched him walk up to the front, his heart racing at the sight of his beautiful husband-to-be.
it was like every movie kitae had ever watched, the nerves he felt rolling off his back once he saw jaehyun smiling at him. he knew he’d look beautiful, he always thought he did anyway, but in the light of the venue and the suit he was wearing, it was breathtaking. he was so locked on him that he tripped up the first step to where jaehyun was, which five minutes ago was his worst case scenario. but he stood up straight and laughed it off, noticing jinwoo was misty eyed already behind fiance as he looked around. “alright. let’s pretend that didn’t happen.” he laughed, cheeks red as he resisted the urge to smack his forehead with his palm. he mouthed a ‘sorry’ to jaehyun as the officiator started the ceremony, reaching his hand out to squeeze jaehyun’s just for a second.

“it’s fine? you promise? it looks good?” kitae was pestering his brother as he checked his hair for the 50th time, making sure he was getting every strand just perfect. “oh god, i’m sweating.” he laughed nervously, palms clapping together just for something to do. he was really wishing he’d decided to stand in the room first now, not sure he was liking have a grand entrance. he was excited, sure, but the realisation this all involved public speaking and all eyes on him when he really didn’t want to mess up was taking over everything right now.
someone called for him and everyone got into their place, kitae behind the rest of the wedding party. “i think i’m gonna pass out.”
“i did it, i’m married! i’m really motherfucking married! oops, sorry for language. except i’m not that sorry. i’m so happy, nothing can stop me.” kitae’s face was starting to hurt from smiling, but he couldn’t care any less. “i’m mr jaehyun- he’s mr kitae-... we’re the parks! mr and mr. what a dream. someone pinch me- ow! don’t really pinch me, my god!”

riley watched his friend in amusement, eyebrows raised and smile slowly growing. “well, true.” he shrugged. “shut up. just because jimin and i had the most iconic way to get married… it’s okay, i know everyone’s jealous.” he joked.
“i wanted to joke some more, but honestly... it was pretty iconic. you got me there.” kitae had to admit it, pointing his finger at his friend. “i thought it was all a prank at first. i think you’re eternally young for being that bold.”
“you know what…” riley spoke, having been silently thinking the entire time. “don’t take this the wrong way, but i feel like we’re all getting so old right now. everyone is getting married and having babies left and right, and it’s throwing me off.”
kitae looked around the room as if looking for someone that was just as mock offended as he was by the comment, even though it was just the two of them there. “well, i’m so sorry?” he scoffed, turning his head away completely for a few seconds before looking back at riley with a playful smile taking over his features. “we are probably the most fast moving friendship group ever, you have a point. but no one’s worse than you, mr vegas wedding.”

jaehyun had just come back home, expecting to see his fiance tipsy off of wine and probably having the time of his life at the moment. and he was very correct. “did you miss me?” he asked jokingly, taking off his shoes and hanging his jacket by the door. “i hope you left some wine for me.” he laughed, walking into the living room where kitae was.
kitae was having a great time, enjoying a real day off in his apartment, waiting for his fiance to come home. he was in just his dark sweatpants and grey t-shirt, rarely seen like that even for sleep, usually having some kind of pyjama set instead. he was beaming when he heard jaehyun, replying with a cute “always!”. he had music playing off of the tv, and was wiggling his body along as his fiance came in, taking a sip from his glass. “on the coffee table, poured out and everything.”
