I don’t really know what the definition of home is, but half destroyed desk-sets and pieces of clothing in each other’s closets somehow feels like we’re on the right track. My room here feels desolate compared to ours at Welton. I miss the sight of you scribbling down annotations on a novel, or me looking over your shoulder as you explain a biology question so I can look at your textbook. To be honest, I miss your scent clinging onto my bedsheets and us existing in the same atmosphere. I miss feeling that you’re close to me every night. 

It’s like knowing that you’re there makes me feel safe, does that make any sense at all?

Anyway, I hope your family is being better and that New Years isn’t as bad as Christmas. You deserve to be listened to. Things here are not the best, my dad won’t let go of the play and my mom won’t really hang on to anything at all, but it was all worth it. It would’ve been worth it just to see the look that you gave me when I had finished performing. 

I was also trying to find new reading recommendations for you. Have you ever read Oscar Wilde? There’s a couple of poems of his I think you’d really like, not to mention his other works. Maybe we should ask Captain if we can study him when we go back in January, although I think Cameron might have a heart attack if we stray any farther away from the syllabus. 

I really do miss you, and ironically enough, I’m looking forward to getting back to Welton next week.

me and my little brother don’t even greet each other - if we pass each other on the stairs or in the corridor, we jump into ridiculous fight stances then feign karate chopping and slapping each other (stopping just before we make contact) whilst making “HIIIYA” and “POW” noises for a solid 30 seconds, then silently walk off and continue what we were doing

and then sometimes he’ll either just do the Had To Do It To ‘Em pose when I enter the room or dab as a greeting
