no one is making it out alive
sidgeno and mcdrai as parallels is so devastating to me because sidgeno will never have to wonder what if they never got to win the cup, what if they never reached that high
but mcdrai? theyâre like sidgeno in purgatory, and right now i wonder if the fear has ever occurred to them, whether they truly will never get to hoist the cup
two canadian prodigies and their soulbonded european generational talents, only this time something is missing and something is wrong, and the narrative has doomed them and all we can do is wait to see if this year is finally the one
Not to wax poeticly about a hockey photo but. Everything about this photo drives me insane. How the light completely centers Mikko, the way the shadows isolate him in the frame, the almost remorseful expression he as. Him and Nate's poses perfectly mirroring each other. The way he's shown ahead of Nate. For the once, Mikko comes first.

he was dubbed "the next one" but has turned out to be "the only one". there has never been and never will be another sidney crosby.
I heard you guys wanted the line brawl but with romantic music
UH OH!!!
Does men's pro hockey have a large queer following?
Would love it if people could chime in in the comments, as a queer person who got really into men's hockey this year, I'm very curious and the space and community of queer people who are into hockey and the relationships with gender and sexuality there, considering men's hockey is such a hegemonic masculine and heterosexual environment.
If people could share this I would really appreciate it!

âAre you an introvert or an extrovert? Do people energize you or drain you? Would you rather be at a party or a library?â Stop subscribing me to binaries. Social interaction is invigorating and makes my life better and Iâm exhausted the whole time.
googling shit like "why do i feel bad after hanging out with my friends" and all of the answers are either "you need better friends" (i don't; my friends are wonderful) or "your social battery is drained, you need to rest and regain your energy levels" (i don't; i've got tons of energy, it's just manifesting as over-the-top neurotic mania). why is this even happening. it's like some stupid toll i have to pay as a punishment for enjoying myself too much
I actually, genuinely think social event aftercare would fix me. I need someone to put me to bed and say "you were fun today and no one hated you"
#theres a thing called 'larp drop' thats essentially this#esp since when having a great time you might be more inclined to disregard your limits and ignore discomfort#(and forget to eat/drink if its larp whoops)#and then once you have a moment to yourself it all comes crashing in#source: once forgot to eat at larp and had a sobbing fit in my car that ended the instant i bit into a chicken nugget - @queerfarmgremlin
this is also true of festivals, conventions, pride parades, concerts, and any situation where you have a lot of fun with other people!
choosing to allocate spoons to hanging out and having a good time at the cost of perfectly completing all your work is not a failing it is in fact an act of survival. âtoo sick to work = too sick to playâ is in fact ableist bullshit that you donât have to buy into. and the fact that leisure time is treated like a privilege is a fucking travesty
The biggest misconception in public schools is that literary analysis is about proving you can be right or wrong about a book you read
Literary analysis isnât about the book
Itâs not even about being right
Itâs about performing an investigation and presenting your case to the jury
It doesnât matter if your defendant killed that guy or not. If you can convince the jury he didnât, youâve won
And the incredible life skill of spinning bulletproof bullshit out your ass with a handful of facts and a prayer is soooooooo much more valuable than anyoneâs ever gonna tell you
puzzled!!
