Your Tri color Profile pic does not Supporting Digital India.
Internet.org is a partnership between social networking services company Facebook and six other companies, Samsung, Ericson, MediaTek, Opera software, Nokia and Qualcomm. There main aim is to provide internet services to less developed and poor countries.
The catch is, to support our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s Digital India Initiative, the CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg changed his profile pic in Indian Tri color i.e. green, white and saffron, a tool that would help transform India into a digitally empowered society. This initiative of Mr. Mark was followed by our Prime minister and many others to show their consent and support for Digital India.
But then came activists assuring changing profile pic is to support Face book’s Internet .org, i.e. a yes vote and like fire it spreads among people and hot topic for Media. The voice was so strong that everyone started following it blindly,
On enquiring, Facebook CEO said it to be a mistake of one of its engineers who used the code similar in meaning to internet.org and assured to change the code to exclude any confusion. He kept his word and changed the code.
So without any hesitation, support for Digital India, it would not be counted as yes vote for Internet.org.
Its better to “LOOK BEFORE YOUR LEAP”.
