Do you still like to experiment with charms?

“Do, I enjoy discovering new things. I have very found memories of being on the experimental charms committee. Though I have to say I spend less time experimenting these days. Since I focused so much on teaching. Students need a solid foundation before they should start to play with things. So I need to be completely focused on making that happen. Everything else is a hobby at this point.”

When was the last time you actually had a fun relationship?

“What kind of relationship are we talking about. I mean I have plenty of friendships that I would deem as fun. They are all entertaining and fun to be around in their own way. If you’re referring to romantic relationships.. I haven’t been in one for a while…”

Chuckling lightly, he nodded along with her mention of him knowing most of them. Felix had traveled the world. he knew plenty of interesting places but he never left out the option that someone would know better. “Well, one of these days you should give me the list anyway. You might have gone somewhere I haven’t,” it wasn’t like all of his trips had been all social things. Work, while he loved it, had taken much of his time. Sitting in cafes and eating things weren’t always on the top of his list. Unfortunately. “Don’t sell your taste short,” was added with a smile as he ran a hand through his hair. “So, gonna to cover anything radical this year,” he of course was talking about her experimental tendencies when she played with charms. Edi always pretended to be all ‘homey’ but he just knew she could blow some shit up. 

“Maybe I will, We’ll just have to see if I trust you enough with my lists.” she grinned a little as she sipped at her new tea. She really had no problem sharing though she always felt a little silly for having so many to share. Her nose scrunched when he asked about her plan for the year. “I haven’t really decided. I mean there is a lot I could cover that wouldn’t be the conventional route to take. But then again I feel like I need to make sure they have the solid foundation before heading down that road. Maybe I’ll find something fun to do with the sixth and seventh year classes.” she chewed at her lip idly as she thought about it.

“I this in response to the ridiculous rumor going around. Because I can assure you that as much as I find Professor Maddock to be a very kind and wonderful individual. There is nothing that would even qualify to bring about such questioning. We’re just friends.”

Edith & Sebastian

Checking in on his fellow professors was the least he could do now. He remembered how all of them had been there for him when Aisling passed when Aurora was born, so why not repay them? “It’s no problem, I assure you.” Sebastian smiled as he took a seat on one of the desks in her classroom. “Want to give me some of that focus?” He teased. He had a hard time getting his thoughts to subside so he could focus on his work, but watching everyone attempt to move on had been hard, knowing some had it harder and easier than others. “It’s a bit more complicated balancing a four month old, but I like to think I’m managing.” He chuckled. Between some of the students who’d volunteered to watch Aurora during free periods and Gale keeping her during his late night classes, it made it a bit easier. “I don’t recall seeing you at the gala. Were you there?” He asked curiously, honestly still remembering that night as a pure blur.

“I could see if there is a way to bottle it,” she smiled softly as she leaned back in her chair. Edith could hardly imagine what it would be like to have a baby to look after on top of all her work. Honestly the idea of caring for her own children always kind of scared her. But she forced her mind not to dwell on that subject. “I bet its a lot more difficult. Though I’m sure you are doing a wonderful job of managing both.” she offered with a little nod. The mention of the gala made her small smile wilt a bit as she chewed at her lip. “I was, I just kept to myself for most of it. Well until.. well yeah we all know what happened.” she cleared her throat a bit as she sat forward. Her elbows resting on her desk.

Lily smiled, taking a seat opposite her professor. “It’s okay, you really don’t have to apologize for that.” She watched Chandler carefully as she pulled out her planner, amused by just how organized she was. She listened carefully before nodding, thinking over the witches words. “I think I could do that…” She said. “I uh, I don’t have many Muggle relations though. I might be a little biased.” 

Edi smiled softly as a little chuckle slipped from her lips. “Thankfully you’re allowed to be a little bias in an opinion paper.” Looking over the planner she penciled in the new assignment for Lily. “What I want you to do is write up a draft, lets say in the next week or so. Once you’re finished with that, hand it in to me and I’ll make a few corrections and suggestion. Then you can work on your final draft.” she nodded as she looked up to the red head. “It should give you something to keep you busy. And hopefully you’ll even have a little fun writing it.”

Edith & Felix

Seeing a notebook get pulled out that was obviously used, wasn’t nearly as surprising to Felix as it perhaps should have been. Of course Edi had taken notes about her trip and all of the best places. Somehow he couldn’t get any sort of thoughts other than fond ones. “Damn straight,” he offered with a chuckle as she opened it and began to look for what she wanted. Her french wan’t nearly as bad as she always said it was. Her Mandarin was off but he had only told her a few phrases. His fault really. “Now you’re talking,” while he spoke, mentally he was already planning a way to get his hands on one or two. Weekends and floo networks were honestly the greatest creations. “If your singing its praises, I bet I won’t be disappointed.” Moving to take a drink from his cup, Felix offered her a smile before putting it back down. “Anything else worth note?”

A bright smile hung from Edi’s lips at his reaction. Felix always had a way of making even her humdrum stories seem so much more exciting then the actually were. She enjoyed it. “Well really its just random things, places I liked the most. Pretty sights.. things like that. But they are all pretty subjective.” she could feel a small blush rise on her cheeks. She found most of the notes she made to be silly in reality. But it was just something she’d always done, a habit that made her feel comfortable. “I’m sure you know all of them already.” she added with a little nod as she chewed at her lip.

When he heard Edith’s voice from the other side, he smiled, letting himself in. “I don’t know if just checking in on someone is important, but I like to think it’s a common courtesy.”  Sebastian said as he moved into her office. “I figured I owed it to myself to make sure everyone was getting back into the swing of things. So, Edith, everything alright?”

Edi couldn’t really blame the man for taking the time to check on people. With everything that had happened right at the start of the school year. It was only to be expected. She shrugged her shoulders a little as she set her quill down. “It going alright,” she answered with a small smile. “I do appreciate you taking the time to come check on me. But I promise I am settling back in just fine. I’m very good at focusing on the task at hand.” she added with a little nod of her head. Her words were much warmer then they had been when she’d spoken earlier. “How about you?” she asked as she motioned for him to sit. “Everything alright with you, Sebastian?”

OLIVE & EDITH

Olive didn’t often leave the Hospital Wing. She was usually needed there, especially now, so when she had time off it was spent in her room sleeping. But this morning she had a few hours off and after grabbing breakfast for herself, she thought she’d drop by her friend Edith’s classroom and spend some time with her. “Its just me.” Olive said with a wave of her hand as she walked into the classroom. “I thought I’d come say hi, and I brought you a muffin from breakfast.” Placing the muffin that was wrapped in a napkin on the desk, Olive took a seat in one of the open chairs. “If you’re too busy I can leave. I know grading papers can be a nightmare, or at least that’s what I’ve heard.”

Edith’s whole demeanor changed when the familiar voice answered her a smile slipping on to her lips. “Oh, Hi.” she chimed setting her quill down and sitting back a bit in her chair. “You know you’re always welcome to come visit me. Even if I sound cranky about it at first.” she teased a little her eyes taking in the muffin that was brought for her. Her stomach took the time to remind her that she hadn’t eaten when she’d gotten up. “And you’re right it is a nightmare, I try to get it all done before the weekend. Which only makes it worst. But enough about that. Come sit down, tell me how your weeks been.” Dispite knowing she had a mountain of papers to grade she was far more willing to spend time with Olive. After all, the women was one of truly close friends.

EDITH & FELIX

“I do know the answer,” he agreed with her statement before she continued and began to explain some of the things she had been looking into. They had known each other for a few years so it made sense that he didn’t really need to ask. Felix however was a sucker for stories, even small ones. “Well, now you are going to have to tell me the name of the shop and the best pastry,” he teased lightly with a laugh before taking a sip of his new tea. “We both know I am a sucker for good food. No matter the country or who made it,” the words muggles or wizards were left out. He didn’t need to say them of course. 

Edith sat up a little st righter a bright smile on her lips as she nodded her head. “Of course I’ll tell you, I would be horrible if I kept all the good sweets shops to myself.” she offered playfully. Reaching for her bag she pulled out a tiny little note book. The cover was pretty worn from being used often. “I wrote them down so I wouldn’t forget. I’m always bad with French names.” she fingered through the pages before finding the page she wanted a little hum of delight sounding. “Chambelland Boulangerie, was my favorite one.” she announced with her best french accent. “They had the most amazing chocolate croissants. I was trying to figure out how bring a years supply here with me.”

His gaze flickered up to the woman as she spoke, a lop sided grin stretching over his lips at her words. Cheeks burning a bit, he shrugged a shoulder. “Well I’ll remember that the next time I’m trippin’ toward someone’s fist. Awful lot of trouble to go through for only ‘some women’,” he teased, shaking his head. Staying still, he waited as she got to work on his banged up face, his nose being the first fix. He was a quidditch player, so Fin was used to getting gnarly hits. He couldn’t count how many times a bludger got him, And there were many broken bones throughout. Just not a broken nose, yet. At her question, he shrugged, trying to wiggle his nose only to wince at pain. “Aye, I think so,” he frowned a little before sporting a grin. “That’s an easy fix, though, right? I mean, I think it is.” He’d seen Olive fix broken bones, most on him, and it never seemed to be a terrible hassle. But his former fiancee hadn’t ever had to deal with broken bones on his face. If he’d had any… Well he usually blacked out so he wasn’t really sure. “How does it look? Bruised? Swollen? How bad? Be honest. Dinnae got a great career anymore, so my pretty face is kinda all I have,” he joked.

Edith grimaced a bit as she watched him wiggled his nose only to wince. She could only imagine the pain that went along with it. Setting her wand aside she lifted her fingers to gently feel along the sides of the bridge of his nose. “Yeah.. it’s an easy fix. And its definitely broken.” she frowned a bit as she reached for her wand again. “Its going to be a bit swollen and probably bruised for a bit.” she sighed. “I have faith you will retain all of your good looks Fin.. it would be nearly impossible for you to be anything less then handsome.” she smiled a little as she shook her head. “But I can fix the break. So there is that, it just may not feel very nice so take a deep breath okay..” she gave him a quick warning before there was a graceful swish and flick of her wrist. “Episkey ” falling from her lips in time.

Lily smiled awkwardly, letting herself into Chandler’s office. “I’m sorry, Professor, It’s not important, not really… but it wont take long, I promise.” She said quietly letting the door swing shut behind her. “I was just… well, it’s a bit of a weird question because what kind of person asks for more schoolwork, but… could I maybe have an essay? Or could you give me a book to read for class? Anything really… I had a few assignments to keep me busy but I finished them last night and I-” She shrugged, feeling self conscious. “I need another distraction.” She admitted, hoping Chandler would understand. 

The women’s features softened a bit when she realized who had come to speak to her. A smile played on her lips as she set her papers aside. Lily was a brilliant girl, she excelled in Edith’s class which made her one of the women’s favorites. “Oh, Lily I apologize for being so sharp.” she offered sitting a bit straighter in her seat. “Come sit down, we can figure out something extra for you to do.” she motioned for the red head to take the seat in front of her. Shifting Edith pulled a large binder out of her desk drawer. She had a love for the muggle organization tool. She kept all her lesson plans and course materials in them. Deep down she understood why the girl had come to her. She could only imagine how she was feeling right now. With everything that was happening with her family. Edi didn’t blame LIly at all for wanting to loose herself in her studies.

 “Umm, well I don’t want to give you to much to do. I know that you want a distraction but I don’t want you to get over whelmed or burnt out that wouldn’t do you any good.” she spoke softly, party to herself and party for the girl. “How would you feel about writing about the benefits and the disadvantages of every day charms? It would be mostly an opinion piece.  For example, if I were to write on the subject I would talk about how I feel that its better for people to learn to do something the long way. Which allows them to appreciate the fact that there are charms that make life easier... “

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

This is really hard, I actually don’t really live to travel. I know that sounds strange but I like being home, in my place. But if I were to venture farther then Paris for a trip. I would probably go somewhere tropical, like Bali or Fiji.. sitting on the beach for a few days could be nice I think.

Do you have anyone you wish you could say something to but don't know how?

I have this feeling a lot actually. I am not very forth coming about much so I find it difficult to actually express feelings and such. So yes there is someone I wish I could be more forward with but I have a feeling that isn’t going to change anytime soon.
