Took mom for a ride to Cook’s Dairy Farm for some of their ice cream.  Yum - mom had pistachio and I had chocolate almond.  Both had plenty of nuts.

Little Shelter Animal Rescue & Adoption Center is located on Long Island in Huntington, NY.  It is a no-kill shelter.  It is a wonderful place and they do a terrific job - Please support them and please adopt.

Katrina 10 Years Later

Was at Greenfield Village on Thursday.  We rode the train (a steam engine), so much fun and even met a lady there celebrating her 99th birthday. Lots of history in the village and that lady had plenty too.  Her family said in the museum she was regaling people with tales of the 1939 Worlds Fair.

Business is good. 

Another beautiful Wednesday evening to walk the Detroit Zoo.  Unfortunately the zoo was packed - not a parking space to be had, and cars were even parked on the grass.  Had to go home and settle for a bike ride.  Should have rode my bike to the zoo.
