Iām not entirely sure what this is, but my wife @frostystarlight said do it and I follow directions fairly well, sooooooā¦.
1) origin of your username
I literally thought, āwouldnāt it be funny if this username was free,ā and it was and now Iām here. On AO3 you can see me maxing out the word count in the comment section as āstardustbuiltā and that username is an anagram for my IRL name. I contain multitudes.
2) I will always order this food
Dessert. You canāt let me near a dessert case and expect me to make rational decisions, I will be ordering with my heart. Dessert can be a full meal if you order enough of it. A friend wants to go to the city (bleck) this month and Iām currently negotiating to visit two new bakeries while weāre there.
Lemme consult my phone: šš„³šāØšš»š¤¦š»āāļøš«”šš
My sister introduced me to š«” and now itās exclusively how I respond to my siblings when they text me.
4) current favorite show/movie/book
Show: ⦠I turned Fruits Basket on over New Years because it made nice background noise while I worked on an art journal but otherwise, ya girl does not watch a lot of shows.
Movie: I watch fewer movies than I do shows and since I donāt watch any shows⦠š Ya girl does not own a single streaming service, I donāt know what to tell you. If something good comes out and my local theater decides to show it, I might go.
Book: Iām forcing myself to finish the book Iām currently reading (hopefully this weekend) so I can move onto Wild Reverence by Rebecca Ross because I wanna see if RR lives up to the hype Iāve heard. I am hopeful but I am also picky as all get out.
Get Down Tonight by KC and the Sunshine Band, also He said āGOD GOT ME!ā By DIAMOND DISTRICT MUSIC.
6) last thing you hyperfixated on
Hockey. A friend is into it and I wanted to get to know her better and have something we could talk about that sheās passionate about so I started asking her questions about hockey. I watched my first game right after Thanksgiving and now, six weeks later, I think sheās lowkey a little terrified how much Iāve learned and how fast Iāve gotten into it. š
7) oddly specific thing that brings you joy
Seeing a Labrador with a ball in their mouth chilling in whatever body of water they can find. (see: lake, kiddie pool, water dish) The way my favorite cashier at the grocery store says, āHey girl.ā When the ocean is smelling extra ocean-y, especially early in the morning. My massive text thread with my favorite baker. My baby sister calling me with a story only I will understand. The first night itās warm enough to sit outside in pajamas. Deckled edges on books. A group of people piling into the kitchen late at night, everyone grabbing a fork, and we just devour cake without worrying about plates or slices. When the swallows return in the spring. Hearing an eagle or an osprey. Watching educated people absolutely fall apart trying to follow the simplest recipe, like boxed cupcakes. Running errands wrapped in a blanket. Working my way through a menu. The t-shirt I have from my baby sisterās university. The way my niece and nephew say their nickname for me. The smell of cold air, sawdust, and just a hint of gasoline because for some reason that always reminds me of my childhood in Colorado. Candlight.
Currently, itās a photo of my niece and nephew smiling/laughing at each other. Previously, it was a photo of my baby sister twirling our niece around at the zoo because our niece kept saying, āSpin!ā In a few months, thereās going to be a proposal and then Iāll have a photo of my baby sister engaged and Iāll cry but Iāll still make it my wallpaper.
9) smell that makes you happy
Baking bread, maple syrup, vanilla, whatever tropical perfume my baby sister is wearing, the first rain after a long dry summer, mint, my nieceās shampoo, a freshly bathed dog but also a dog who isnāt quite stinky but definitely smells ādogishā, the air before a lightning storm, my car right after itās been deep cleaned, the Cirque de Soleil perfume.
10) morning, night, or other type of person
Morning! Once the sun is down all I want to do is go to bed. Give me a sunrise and a long day under the sun (not always possible in the PNW but we make it work) and Iāll be happy as a clam at high tide.
I am a full-time pet sitter. Yes, itās a real job, yes, I am baffled that itās a real job and that itās my real job. I accidentally ended up in this line of work, but I enjoy it.

So @azrielsdaggerpolisher you get no say, you have to do this, given you are the source of my hockey obsession hobby. š©µ
